Sturgill I think is the best of those you listed. Stapleton is on the verge of the sell out and Isbell to me isn't far from being there either.
I have seen this gal a couple times last few years , excellent show if you ever get the chance.

Sturgill is okay, can't stand CS. If i have to hear that "smooth as Tennessee Whiskey" song one more time i'm gonna barf. I don't know who the other guy is.
I don't really care for much new music that is out these days. That doesn't mean it isn't good though.
I've bought stuff (an album or just a song or two) over the last year or so from The Killers, Arcade Fire, Greta Van Fleet, Crowder, Night Moves, The Black Angels, The Districts, and Welshly Arms. I haven't even been crazy about all of those and haven't even listened to all of it either. Now and then I just feel like I need to try something new so find something that at least may be appealing.

Of course he played with Cash, but that's because they were label mates.
And now he's playing Riot Fest w/ the likes of Incubus and Blink-182.
Nevermind...just dawned on me that he had a country phase later in his career. I've only listened to the early stuff.
