Immediate thoughts....damn, both the states of Illinois and Georgia absolutely suck when it comes to basketball!
I feel the reasons are obvious.
Also, you can’t change history by being whiny. Your petty and misplaced indignation just comes across as kind of sad.
Eyeroll
And I'm sure you think Mark McGwire is the greatest hitter ever, and Danny Almonte is still the greatest little leaguer ever.
Most people in the world think you guys cheated, even if you didn't get sanctioned for it, and to many people accomplishments gained through cheating aren't as legit. It's okay; we can disagree when we discuss these sorts of topics without you trying to make it all personal and playing the whole "Oh dear, you guys are SO jealous/sad/obsessed with us." It comes across as forced.
Anyway, go ahead and get the last word
Oh, and no, the reasons aren't obvious. Outside of Little and Maye, I don't see UNC having top level talent (and some might argue Maye isn't that either, although I would disagree), and certainly not the type of talent that would make me say that it is *probable* that UNC will go further. Roy does a good job pulling teams together, but Duke clearly has the talent edge. So yeah... "probably" seems like a homer statement.
And I wasn't kidding earlier, btw... I do think UK has a clear claim to greatest program in history. UCLA's success was just too limited, in terms of the timeline, and they are the only program who could even try to stake a claim. Kansas is too limited in terms of titles, and Duke is too limited in terms of "single coach" success.
What's really crazy is that with all the ridiculous talent Dean Smith brought in during the 80's and 90's they should have the most championships. They would be Kansas if Kansas wasn't so damn good at choking in the final 4s.I would think most people have UK as number one all time. UNC is number two though and definitely not far behind.
In which round was UNC eliminated last year? This must be the map for the road to the round of 32
I don’t know. I’m a Clemson fanIn which round was UNC eliminated last year?

That's awesome! So sad. I've a former student that will start for them this year as a soph. I worry he'll never sniff The Dance.
Love seeing my former kids make the tourney. One of em even made the One Shining Moment montage after hitting a dagger in the tournament.
32.... what was Dook’s record vs that UNC team last year?In which round was UNC eliminated last year?
Not sure. what is it? did they strike out with top class?32.... what was Dook’s record vs that UNC team last year?
Who has ever implied Duke is historically greater than North Carolina? And follow up question, if somebody has that opinion, shouldn’t it automatically disqualify them from being able to say anything that bothers you like this?Yeah, I feel like some fans are trying hard to try and push the narrative that Duke is historically greater than the Heels, even though that isn't what this is. It's cute.
This year I assumed Duke would be ranked higher. They usually are. UNC will probably go farther in the end so I'm ok with that.
Maybe I missed it, but did anybody imply that? It’s not commenting that implies you’re bothered, it’s crowbaring something in that nobody has said that would point the finger toward that. Apologies if I missed a few comments, though.I don’t feel like commenting means one is bothered. That’s a weird take.

Well said. No, I think you are right. I clearly misunderstood a response to something specific as a more general statement. I thought it was a pretty good shot tbh so felt like giving one back. The fact that is wasn't is my mistake though. So, I without a doubt accept being bothered here and apologize. Usually I wouldn't have even looked back but you are usually on point with things, haha.
The title of the thread was undisputed power programs in each state. UM basketball is definitely not the undisputed power program in the state of Michigan.

1-2, what's your point? Duke was 2-1 against the UNC team that won the title, what's that matter?32.... what was Dook’s record vs that UNC team last year?
