At the end of the season. Not a surprise. Just wish he was able to put together a solid season before hanging it up. Legendary ACC coach on a long list of recent exits. Hope he enjoys retirement!

"I'll always respect Joe B. Hall for hiring Leonard Hamilton, Kentucky's first Black assistant, in 1974. You can ask any Black head coach in college basketball and they'll tell you that Hall's decision opened doors for so many others. And then Hamilton did the same for other Black coaches. He mentored them. He guided them. He supported them. You can't write a book about college basketball history that doesn't include Joe B. Hall and Leonard Hamilton."

@Bert Higginbotha has a better old picture of him. Crazy how dude didn't age a day for the next 50 years.

Nice to see he's doing it the honorable way instead of just bailing a dozen games into the season because his team sucks ass, like another ACC coach did.

I always admired him and I had 2 uncles that knew his family.

It's crazy a small town like Gastonia produced him, James Worthy and Sleepy Floyd. Looks like NIL ran off another good coach.
