I don’t understand why people have a problem with that. You have the ball with 9 seconds left. If you don’t want the other team to score again then just hold the ball and let the final buzzer sound. But If you continue to play then you shouldn’t be angry if they do as well. Now, I guess the argument can be made to “act like you’ve been there” but that doesn’t really speak to class IMO.
If being a poor sport were an event, you would be Mr Consistent.
I mean, both our 96 team’s losses(you know, the best cbb team of the modern era?) were by double digits. So...

I feel like I’m missing some back story here. But being seriois We could easily still get a 1 seed tbh. Our resume is better than everyone’s but Virginia’s and Dukes at this point. The selection committee is pretty unpredictable though. And the system allows them a ton of wiggle room and ways to explain away seemingly bad decisions. Basically there’s a lot of room for them to do what they want as opposed to what’s right or fair.
There’s not a single unbiased person in that room. Is what it is. It’s what we all knowingly signed up for at this point.
Every team in the country has done it before.
Montgomery literally did it to Tennessee. Uk had a shot clock, but Tennessee was walking down the court. Couldve just dribbled it out. A lot of teams take the violation.
Ultimately, they are kids. Every single one of us would do what he did in that situation. To say you wouldn’t would be lying.
My post was half flame half serious. Most 1 seeds don’t get blown out multiple times in a season. But your resume of wins might be enough to counteract it

I see. I did say in another thread I thought us and UNC were clearly the weakest of the teams with a legitimate chance at a 1 seed. It’s just almost always gonna be this way under Cal. Young teams no matter how talented are usually pretty inconsistent and we’re always gonna have one of the youngest teams in the country under him.

The players should be angry about being down 19. Not because someone had the audacity to dunk it at the buzzer when the game was decided.
Looking forward to the tie breaker in Nashville. It will be a completely neutral crowd/game and we'll get to see who comes out on top.
