IYO, What Makes UK Fans So Obnoxious to Outside Fans?

Obligatory gif.

One of the best sports gifs ever tbh. Old man river wasn't having it. 😂

If you're looking for 'nice' posting here (especially as you're a U6 fan), you're in the wrong place.
Meh. You’re a good dude. The “U6” shit is played out though. That investigation was and is a joke, especially now with NIL. The ncaa is crumbling as we speak.

Reactions: Yet Another UK Fan
Here’s the thing, EVERY program has some dark sides, some scandal. But not every fan base brings it up EVERY time another program is mentioned. It goes like this: “Hey, we got a new coach; we think he might be good”. UK poster: “Yeah, but does he have his own table/bed at Porcini’s?” Or “Hey, that Hailey Van Lith is a heck of a player”. UK poster: “Yeah, but does she squirt to the ceiling?” Or “We believe UofL is a Top Ten All-Time basketball program”. UK poster: “Not with all the vacated wins you aren’t. The point here is two fold, some UK posters here just can’t seem to tolerate any other program to shine without inserting “yeah, but UK is better”. And, some UK posters can’t seem to tolerate or allow anything UofL related to be discussed without interjecting some unrelated, completely un-instigated shit talk. It’s really obvious some of you just revel in being a-hole posters under the guise of being proud fans,
This is 100% facts.

Are you shitting me? Go to Kentucky parks and they are crammed full of Hoosiers because there is no where to go or nothing to do in Indiana outside of Brown County.

Wow. My area sure as hell in not dilapidated and is the fastest going area in Kentucky.

Kentucky's overall population increased 3.8% to about 4.5 million people between 2010 and 2020.

Last time I checked it was Indiana losing population instead of Kentucky.

According to USPS change-of-address data, these are the 10 top states people are fleeing.
  • California. 2021 saw a net loss of over 101 thousand households in California despite a mostly pleasant climate and robust tech industry. ...
  • New York. ...
  • Illinois. ...
  • Pennsylvania. ...
  • Massachusetts. ...
  • Washington. ...
  • Colorado. ...
  • Indiana.
You probably need to get to Indiana more----Brown COunty is beautiful, but there are tons of beautiful parks in Indiana----Starting with Hoosier National Forrest, which has Lincoln State Park within its beautiful borders... There is Spring Mill Park, in Mitchell, Indiana that is absolutely beautiful... Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.....McCormick's Creek State Park in Spencer.....Mounds State Park in Anderson....O'Bannon Woods State Park in Corydon(formerly known as Wyandotte)... Turkey Run State Park....

Indiana is full of beautiful State parks, that are great for camping, hunting, fishing, swimming, family getaways, etc, etc....

And Kansas, UNC, Indiana et.al. are not either.

It was as hard to win the NCAA in 1952 as it is today.

In fact it was a lot harder because you had to win your damned conference to even get into the NCAA.

GEEZE.
Winning the SEC in the 40's and 50's was pretty tuff, ehhh? ;)

Except attend an NFL game....Or an NBA game....Or a minor league baseball game----in the same city---and sometimes,in the same week. Tel me, what city in Kentucky can you do that in?

Then there is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Host of course to the Indianapolis 500. But the speedway also features multiple NASCAR races, Grand Prix, Formula One racing.... Yeah Kentucky has that nice track there in Sparta----but its losing steam, and money. And races.

Indiana has 17 casino's-----How many does Kentucky have?

Which Great Lake can you sail, fish, swim, etc, in, IN Kentucky?

You're a great dude Bert----love ya man. But this is just a silly take.

Nobody offended here.... you wanna waste your time, nobody's stopping you.

Interesting. Because in my "50 Greatest Programs of All-Time" thread you seemed to be pretty cool with it...

...as if there were any doubt....

And earlier in this thread it seemed like it mattered to you, so long as the right timeframe was selected.

I wonder what changed for you?

Wrong... Not hamstringing things with a timeframe is what I want. Not trying to change it. Don't want one in the first place, comprende'?

Time limits change everything and just serve certain narratives.

No professional sports in Kentucky. No Indy speedway in Kentucky.

Kentucky has several casino's. There is one only 40 minutes from my house. Many of the Horse tracks have casino's. Of course I don't gamble.

You are bragging about 40 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline? Kentucky has no great lake, but we have all sorts of lakes, and some very good State parks; again filled up with Hoosiers.

Again address Indiana losing population and Kentucky gaining if Kentucky sucks so much and Indiana is the promised land?

I did not start this interstate spat until a Hoosier knocked Kentucky. I never disliked Indiana and I don't knock it until someone attacks my home state. Next we will be into rednecks and hillbillies. So I will admit to being that also. My folks have been Kentucky hillbillies since before the revolution (Hell I am still 42% Scot). They helped settled Western Virginia and Kentucky, killed off the British and Shawnee in two wars to free up Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.

I still love you Borden. I hope to see you this fall.

24 hrs left in the off-season, so here goes;

@Steelers2012 and I were discussing how UK fans make up the largest contingent on the board so naturally it’s going to get a little UK-heavy around here, especially since many of us aren’t crazy about the vibe over on RR. It also doesn’t help that most other fans really don’t post threads much either . . . and this all just for the sake of conversation on a slow summer day;

There are those that love to play the foil towards UK fans, which can get pretty entertaining. So IYO what specifically makes UK fans so disliked as a whole?

It's the same thing that pisses Coach Stoops off @ Capilari...

Guy. I'm pretty sure you're not welcome right now. I'm glad you're here but...wrong time, wrong place.

no offense.
I get being new and all but I’ve been lurking for a while now. I’ve read enough to know who the morons are and aren’t. I just decided to join in the convos since there’s so many UK haters. It’s a sign we’re back.

No one talks about #24 preseason rankings. No one cares about 8th best team.

Dammit, man... my board 'persona' has now taken quite a shot. ;)
I’ve been standing back for a while and watching you 2 absorb a ridiculous amount of abuse. Keep up the good fight. The madder they get the more relevant UK is.

I’m so ****in ready for sports to begin. Thank god football starts in a few weeks. Off-season has been brutal.
Amen to that. Even UK’s exhibition games lack excitement. This is the worst time of the year from a sports standpoint.
