The conference sent 8 teams to the tournament and none made elite 8, barring Houston got unlucky injury issue(they didn’t look convincing in round of 32 anyway), everyone else was beaten comprehensively by their opponents.

Yeah, I feel bad for Houston. I've not been a fan of theirs all year, but never like seeing someone get hurt and essentially get knocked out because of it.

Tbh they didn’t look convincing in their second round win against Texas A&M anyway, the only top seed to struggle against 8/9 seed.

Yeah, we told everyone that weeks ago and said the tournament would beat that out. They were great, but not as great as people made them out relative to everyone else.

Yeah, but when you look at aTm, that team had 3 elite guards and strong front court players. They led the country in offensive rebounds. They severely underachieved for much of the regular season, but turned it on at the end. You never knew what team was going to show up. That’s typical for a Buzz Williams team.

No. Kansas best player get hurts, Iowa St got a tough draw, and Houston wasn't playing well. The rest is a crap shoot.

It was very good but fell off down stretch led by our asses.

Shead cost Houston a game against UConn for the natty imo. They win handily vs duke then beat Tenn or Purdue. Bad luck

But we just fell apart.

ISU and Illinois was a crapshoot.

Just wasn’t a great tourney.

Acc flexing

Houston was rolling until Shead went down. Up 8-0 to start then like 16-7 when he got hurt?

Then they fell apart without Shead

Houston was not besting Purdue. They are flashy but very good

Iowa St laying the wood to them and then their tourney games show they were falling off

Why do you even comment in here with as wrong as you’ve been about everything?

They were absolutely beating Purdue. Houston and UConn were the top dogs all year a la Baylor and Zags 2021.

Baylor without Jared Butler would have been done in the sweet 16 as well tho.

You don’t have to be hostile just because your wrong.
Learn the difference between your and you're, before addressing me next time, bitch.
You should have learned that in 2nd grade.

Based on what? Who did Houston really beat for you to believe they "absolutely" would have beat Purdue? Purdue was by far one of the top teams all year and proved it on the court. Houston, not so much.

Big 12 is a bunch of solid teams in the 15-45 range. Aside from KU and Baylor, not much elite talent in that conference (nba wise) historically. Stacking top 10 classes, 3 nba players on the roster. Maybe Texas.

Iowa St typifies the big 12. Solid team, great coaching, won more coin tosses than they lost, ended up with a solid record. Not gonna make real noise in the tourney.

Texas Tech and BYU should have been 8/9 seeds, per the eye ball test.

UH had terrible luck, but they weren't beating Uconn. Just not enough talent at the end of the day. Self crapped the bed with his roster management. They should be 8 deep. Not 4 deep.

Now that covid is done, we'll see the big 12 take a step back. KU, Baylor, Houston, Arizona will be consistently very good. The next 8 will be top 25-75 teams whose season will be defined by how many 50/50 games they won that year. Aside from UCF, the rest of the schools have some basketball history and won't be dog poo every year. If Huggins doesn't get caught, WVU would have been another quality top 50 team in the conference.

Decent analysis but why Covid being done taking a step back ? lol

I think you nailed it with KU, Baylor, Houston and Arizona as the ones chasing titles.

Houston would be in the natty game if Shead didn’t go down. Win? Maybe not. But they’d be there. It was 8-0 starting out then 18-10 when he went down vs duke . That game was a win for Houston with him and they’d have handled NCST. Shane.

Next year I think KU / we will chase #5. Everyone back hold McCullar.

Houston loses too much. Arizona will be intriguing. Baylor depends who comes back. ISU actually will be really good.

I haven't studied the rosters, but I have the feeling that the big 12 rosters are filled with transfers and are generally older than the other p5 leagues.

The lack of talent(nba) was covered up by the experience.

I think next year league as a whole takes a step back.

I don't think KU will do much as long as Dickinson is a focal point.

You haven't answered why it is you think this. I'm not saying that Purdue would absolutely beat them, but the way you gloss over that game is hysterical. In fact, I don't think it would have been a guaranteed win if they met Tennessee either.

The SEC was over rated. The ACC was under rated. The Big 12 was over rated. The B1G had two really good teams, but were not over rated.

The story of this year is NC State. They were jack shit and have now won 9 straight games against better and better competition. That is the story of the year.

Baylor, down a starter
Kansas, down a starter
Houston, lost a starter in their final game

.. casuals gonna casual

NC State has had by far the easiest path to the F4.

There's a reason that Dickinson was considered one of the best transfers ever, and it's not because you can't win with him in the lineup. Ridiculous narrative.

The Big 12 (and the new schools) are projected to have around 7 first rounders and a bunch of second rounders. Not sure where you're getting the idea there isn't much NBA talent.

I don't see the Big 12 taking a step back. If anything, it'll take a step forward by adding Arizona and Colorado.

Well then Purdue should beat the shit out of them in the next game. It should be easy.
What does my statement have to do with beating the shit out of them. Look at who they've played. They have 100% had the easiest path, by far. Their toughest game was Duke and this isn't coach K's Duke. Not trying to knock Scheyer, but he's not that guy right now.

The Big 12 is a trash conference, full of programs that the SEC and B1G don’t want

KU's underachieved and still leads your entire conference 2-0 in titles this century. All dat money tho! 😆 😂
