The title run in 2022 was the worst thing that could have happened to them.
100% this. They have to keep him and now, he just landed 5* Caleb Wilson. That made it even worse. HD is going to he there a while.

I would be curious to know what the majority of the UNC fanbase is thinking, as far as Hubert for next year...
2022 UNC was an 8 or 9 seed (don't remember which one), and Love channeled his inner Kemba Walker and brought UNC to a title game. But UNC had a very average regular season (for UNC standards).
2023 UNC is preseason #1 and doesn't qualify for the NCAAs.
2024 UNC is a one seed and loses to Bama in Sweet 16.
2025 looks to have NIT (if UNC accepts, they didn't in 2023) written all over it.
As previously mentioned in this thread, the FF run was the worst thing that could have happened for a UNC fan. If these were the results at UK, I would be leading the charge to dump Hubert.

Hopefully not. They need to keep him around for a couple more years at least. 😁
Yeah, it should tell you all you need to know when all of UNC's rivals would probably chip in and pay to keep your coach from leaving.
There probably isn't a basketball team anywhere that would even entertain hiring Hubert but UNC has him coaching at one of the biggest programs in the game because Roy told them to.
