Disappointing atmosphere. I remember when practically every game used to be like this:

I think college basketball crowds in general are really sucking these days
To be fair, this hasn’t been a game since the tip. If Indiana somehow got back into this game, I think the noise will pick up.

Also got to wonder how many people might have bought tickets but not shown up for one reason or another. 33% of my daughter’s class is out sick right now. RSV, strep(went through our house two weeks ago), Covid, flu, and various strands of the common cold are all running rampant around here at the same time. One school around here cancelled school until winter break is over cause 45% of their student body is out sick.

Dick shooting all over IU.
A lot of teams have sacrificed parts of their defense to make sure Dick didn’t get any good looks. Indiana hasn’t done that so far. Problem is, if they do….it’s likely Jalen Wilson will explode on the scene. Last week Dick had 14 first half points, they focused on him and he only had 2 in the 2nd half. But Wilson scored damn near 20.

Peter North type shooting Bro

First half we played like we did against Mizzou. 2nd half we’re playing like we did against Tennessee. This team does this. They’re so inconsistent. Look like world beaters one minute and look pedestrian the next.

Nice to see that KU can still play well even when Wilson's contained, because there are definitely going to be opponents that can slow him down.

Trayce Jackson-Davis looks like the exact same player he did as a freshman. Dude might end up being the first ever 5th year one and done next year. No idea how he fits in the NBA.

Why do the IU players keep passing it to Kansas players? Their KU bets are going to cover easy at this point.

Not sure how any big man who can’t shoot the 3 fits into the NBA right now. Just about every NBA team would rather play a 6-6 wing at C than a 6-9+ big man who can’t shoot the 3 but can rebound and protect the rim.

Had a pretty strong feeling KU would cover, but some pessimistic KU fans talked me out of betting.

I don’t care how the game has evolved. I’d take a classic 7 footer with good post moves any day if I were a coach. Not sure if many of today’s elite wings would stand for it though if you wanted them to pass into the post.

I always wondered if that effects the players game.
I never played in a gym/arena like that. And TBH, it doesn't truly impact your vision----but it can cause "blind spots", i.e. glares, and at times can make it tough.

Still----awesome shit.
