Mizzou board had a thread about the tweet and some posters suggested it was Illinois fans starting the rumor. So apparently the Illinois mod creeps on powermizzou and gets really hurt over comments not painting his butt buddies in a positive light.

Sounds like someone hasn't learned proper etiquette when it comes to when to spit and when to swallow.
As an Illinois fan who is hardly a fanboy, the Rivals' group is about as balanced as a site like this can be.
And I don't always agree with them and the same for them with me.
Also, IL is going to suck in the major sports for one more year so enjoy it until 2019/20 when our teams will really start to improve.

Attempting to argue you are aware of content provided by illinois.rivals when you don't have access to it makes no sense. I'm not even a big fan of Doug frankly but he's certainly not what some mizzou fans are attempting to portray him as.
