Duke is better than 95% of the teams out there. They'd finished second in the SEC behind UK.

Good win UK fans! Our guards played like crap and we shot terribly so the fact that we still should've won that game with better execution makes me feel really good. Duke needs to get the rotation settled but I think our ceiling is sky high.
UK's floor is extremely high and the ball movement was good. Pope can coach Xs & Os too and was impressive. I don't see this team losing before the 2nd weekend and then matchups and shooting will dictate things the rest of the way.

I'm just glad we finally have a coach who takes these early season games seriously. Duke has a good squad. Y'all are only going to improve as the season progresses. It was a helluva game.
I will say my hate for UK is all but gone. First, @jarms fell and then Cal. We're all good.

I hate y'all but I always enjoyed playing UNC with Roy/Cal coaching because the games were always dynamite. Hope the home and home is brought back how it should be.
ITs crazy we have the most experienced inexperienced team in UK history.
We have more games played and minutes on the floor, but just not with each other at UK.

If I was a Duke fan, I would be getting pretty concerned with Scheyer.
The guy is not a good in game coach, at all. Duke's offense literally consists of going 1 on 1 75% of the time. That is it. It's like, hey go make a play, cuz I ain't gonna draw anything up that is worth a darn. Reminds me of Cal.
There is a bad tendency I have noticed with the few coaches who rely heavily on these uber talented freshmen...they get lazy and start relying upon these guys to go 1 on 1 and make a play. Cal did it, Coach K did it his last 4-5 yrs, and now Scheyer is doing it.
