If you could hand pick a 10 man roster from current college b-ball players, who would you go with? Lots of good players out there. I’d be hard pressed to not take Zion, Dedric Lawson, RJ Barrett, and Zach Norvell. Reddish would be tough to leave off as well.

Do you take Caleb Martin? Maye? Quentin Grimes? Brown at Auburn? Williams or Schofield at Tennessee? Hachimura? Battle? De’Andre Hunter? Matthews or Brazdiekis at UM? Anyone at UK?

That Howard Guy for Marquette put up a 50 spot last night. He would have to be on there.

Starters

Tre Jones
Kyle Guy
Romeo Langford
Zion Williamson
Bol Bol (healthy)

Bench

Markus Howard
Grant Williams
Nick Ward
RJ Barrett
Cassius Winston

The homer picks never disappoint on this site.
? Because I picked 1 IU player out of 10? Who was ranked 5th in his class and is a projected top 10 pick? Dude's averaging 21 ppg in Big10 play and shooting 52%. He's a favorite for Big10 FOY

I sure as hell wasn't going to pick a DePaul player.RollLaugh

The only UK player anyone should even consider is Keldon Johnson. Should be a top 7 or 8 pick by the end of the season, maybe higher.

there's no reasonable opinion that has Langford in the starting lineup for an all American team. Pure homer.

Am I partial to players that grow up in Indiana? Sure. But it isn't like he's some scrub, he's a star player. Let's see your list fu*kwad.

I'm afraid to play along in this case. I would probably take at least 3 Duke players. Maybe add Jack White. But homerism is frowned upon in this establishment.

Pick who you want , but I'm gonna keep on calling out ridiculous homer posts on this site like it's my job.

I don't think you can just pick the best 10 players. The guys would need to be able to work well together as a unit. I'm also limiting my 10 player team to one player per team.

Cassius Winston, Michigan State
Jarrett Culver, Texas Tech
De'Andre Hunter, Virginia
Zion Williamson, Duke
Brandon Clarke, Gonzaga

Justin Jenifer, Cincinnati
Ty Outlaw, Virginia Tech
Rui Hachimura, Gonzaga
Ignas Brazdeikis, Michigan
Jaxson Hayes, Texas

Neither Jenifer nor Outlaw are double-digit scorers (or Hayes). But Jenifer leads the country in assist to turnover ratio and he has an effective fg% north of 60 percent. Ty Outlaw has shot close to 50% from 3 his last 2 seasons. In this 10-man lineup, guys would know their roles. Culver and Zion are the main scorers on this team - Winston and Hunter are effective shooters who can take over when Culver and Zion are out. Hachimura/Brazdeikis provide instant scoring off the bench. Clarke and Hayes will give you legitimate post defenders who can also protect the rim.

If I had a 10-man team, I wouldn't want to load up on 20-point scorers. Those guys often have the ISO-Carmelo mentality - need some role players in there so the unit can mesh well together.

Off the top of my head, here's a much better team than yours. Langford not even in the running for a legit top 10.

Starters:
G: Carson Edwards
G: Kyle Guy
F: Admiral Schofield
F: Zion Williamson
C: Dedric Lawson

Reserves:
G: Ja Morant
G: Shamorie Ponds
G: Markus Howard
F: Grant Williams
F: Rui Hachimura

That's a legit team not tainted by homer team and conference affiliation like yours.

I guess you just forgot about Carson Edwards, right?
Oh so that's why I'm a homer? Because I don't just by into hype preseason, I actually look at the numbers.

Carsen Edwards in Big10 play is shooting around 30% from the field this year.

The other day against MSU he was 3-16 (shot 14 3s) and had 0 assists and 4 turnovers. All that attention he garners and he had 0 assists. He's simply not playing that well now that he's a one man show. He shot them out of the game in the second half chucking brick after brick.

He's a sub 6" guard compared to Romeo at 6"6. I don't want the 3 in my lineup to be less than 6" tall. Size/length advantage Romeo, and Romeo is a much better rebounder.

Either way this is my list, that's what this thread is for dumbass.

If the game is being played today, I'd have no problem leaving Reddish off. And I'm a Duke fan. I'm torn with RJ, though. Like others have mentioned, there's probably other players that would complement a team better, if scoring is taken care of.

quoting conference stats for guys who have played 2 conference games is pretty ridiculous.

Even if you don't put Edwards on your team, no non homer justification for including Romeo Langford exists.

Bro this isn't an All American team, if it was my team would obviously be different. It said if you could hand pick players to form a 10 man roster, who would YOU choose? If everyone picked the same team the thread would be boring, so I picked players that I like. Read the damn topic before you start acting like a jackass and ruining the thread.

By the way Carsen has played 4 Big10 games not 2. So get your facts straight.

Off the top of my head

Ja Morant
Jarrett Culver
RJ Barrett
Zion Williamson
Daniel Gafford

Admiral Schofield
Grant Williams
Cassius Winston

Carsen is still better then romeo.

Each of those teams have played 4 games in conference and Langford has looked undeniably better than Edwards lately. When is the last time you watched Purdue or Indiana? I'm not saying I'd have Langford in my top 5 or 10 but your posts come off as someone who doesn't watch many Big Ten games.

Hand picking a team that doesn't start a point guard is interesting.

As a back up
He's definitely a top 20 player, I wouldn't put him top 10 though. For instance Michigan is one of the top 5 teams in the country yet I don't have any of their players top 10. If I expanded it to 20 I might have 2-3 of them. Either way it's all just opinion.

Not to this point in Big10 play he's not, but either way it's my list. I've never seen people soo butthurt over somebody's list on an anonymous message board.
I never comnented on your list. Just that carsen is the better player.

I don't think any KU fans would have Quentin Grimes on their list at this point in the season.

No Grant or Admiral Schofield from TN?

My team would lock your team up defensively, pound the rock and kick for 3’s with good shooters

PG Ty Jones - Duke, good defender and distributor
SG Corey Davis - Houston, awesome defender and good shooter
Wing - Jared Culver - TTech, long, defends, scores
PF - Admiral Schofield - Tenn, long, physical, defends, and can stretch the floor
C - Udoka Azibuike - Kansas, a must double or he will score at will and very good defender

Bench:
Markus Howard - Marquette - instant offense
Marcus Garrett - Kansas - arguably best defender in country. Can guard 1-4 (insert A stopper from any team)
Phil Booth - winner and all around stud
Mike Daum - SDS - scorer and good passer
De’Andre Hunter - 3 & D specialist

That team has guards that will pressure full court, a big that can erase shots, and will rebound. Offensively, they play 4 around 1. If the double Dok they rain 3’s. If Dok goes out they play smaller with Daum but spread the floor and everyone can drive and shoot.
