****in glorious.

Is it like last time.....mostly obese patients
not gonna fat shame the U S of A but we got some big bellies.

Gonna guess one third is obese the next third overweight. It's who we are. Then you got some crazies that just won't eat. It's like, WTF is wrong with 'Merica???

Probably a good bet many hospitalized and/or testing positive, whatever it is we're talking about, yeah they are prolly heavy. If you wanna bet on something bet on them being unvaccinated too.

I agree 100 percent. Some universities offer incentives for a “get healthy now” initiative. They offer 40$ a month added to your paycheck. Whether people are lying or not about their lifestyle would be, for me only issue
I do drug and alcohol testing for about 200 companies. A handful test for tobacco use....only bc they give a 50 dollar voucher per month to be tobacco free—-via insurance

Chick fil a got that pickle juice breading in the fryer. Good for sure, but there’s a lot of chicken sandies I’d choose over at barely a couple dollars extra.

I like chic fil a, but don't think they're anything special. But I do like the peach milkshake. Cause, gay. But man, put some kraken in that bitch. Ummmmmmmm.

Agreed but I haven’t put kraken in peach milkshake. Gonna try that.

Last time I was in Louisville, I was at a place called “faces bar and bistro” in the highlands. Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, hands down. It’s called the “yardbird” on the menu. ****in slammin. Delicious. About 12$ for sandwich and side.

Really? Tell that to the folks who are getting the virus who have the vaccine.
Yeah. That is also covered in the Post's page. Right there where it says that 5,601 people out of 161,000,000 with the vaccine have tested positive and hospitalized and 1,141 have died. We all get it, phil. You're not a fan of the vaccine.

I saw that figure at 125, 000 have tested positive, after receiving the vaccine.

At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News.

The 125,682 "breakthrough" cases in 38 states found by NBC News

The post didn't give the number of people who have tested positive. They gave the number of people who were hospitalized and the number of people who have died.

So 125,000 people tested positive. That's 1 out of 1,288. 1 out of every 28,000 have been sick enough to be hospitalized and 1 out of every 141,000 have died. What do you think the numbers are without the vaccine?

We get it Ghost, you are a fan of the vaccine.

No. Big Pharma said Oxy was a miracle drug too. If it was truly that impressive they would charge an arm and a leg for it like insulin.

I also don't discourage people from getting it or shame people. Just my personal feelings.
To be fair oxy is a helluva drug.

It like coke, its too good and it becomes a problem.

But obv i know what u mean the opiod pandemic is def real.

Im still on waitlist smh knowing my luck ill be on it for 4 weeks and shoulda got one of the 2 shot deals.

I am leaving work a little early to go get it. Assuming I’ll be fine but wanted to have time to rest just in case. Feel like the vaccines have hit younger people harder than old? And obviously I’m a young stud.

First shot doesn't really do much. Just drink a lot the night of your second shot and it will just be a hangover the next day.

78% of COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the US overweight or obese, CDC finds

Erica Carbajal - Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 Print | Email

Among 71,491 U.S. adults who were hospitalized with COVID-19, 27.8 percent were overweight and 50.2 were obese, according to the CDC's latest Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report published March 8.
The analysis included 148,494 patients who recieved a COVID-19 diagnosis at emergency deparments or inpatient vistits between April 1 and Dec. 31 across 238 hospitals. Of those, 71,491 were hospitalized.
Those who were overweight or obese were more likely to require invasive mechanical ventilation, findings showed. Obesity was also linked to increased risk for hospitalization and death, especially among those under age 65. As BMI rose, so did the risk, the CDC found.
The risks for hospitalization, ICU admission and death were lowest among those with BMIs under 25. The "healthy weight" BMI range is between 18.5 and 24.9.
The report notes that obesity is a recognized risk factor for severe COVID-19, which is possibly due to chronic inflammation that disrupts the body's immune response and impairs lung function.
"These findings highlight the clinical and public health implications of higher BMIs, including the need for intensive COVID-19 illness management as obesity severity increases, promotion of COVID-19 prevention strategies including continued vaccine prioritization and masking, and policies to ensure community access to nutrition and physical activities that promote and support a healthy BMI," the agency said.

Not shocking. Add in another 20 percent if you're including those with underlying conditions or being immune compromised. Sounds about right.

Healthy foods aren’t pushed like fast food is here in America. It’s all about balance. That and the lack of control most Americans have with over eating, and eating just garbage food. The last five years I’ve been strict with my diet, and try to not eat junk food. You can still enjoy steak, burgers, tacos etc. it all in moderation with fruits in vegetables.

It's not hard to see why there's a lot of obesity in this country. Americans eat out far more than most countries and the portions are way bigger. Burgers and fries are 3x the size of those in the 50s. Fast food restaurants “evolved” from 7 oz drinks to 42 oz.

To avoid packing on fat, you have to keep your sugar intake around 24-36 g/day. One 42 oz Coke is 108 g.

Not to mention it's expensive to eat quality, organic food in America and cheap to eat processed crap and fast food.

Pretty much this, and it’s ****ing sad.

That 125.000 is from 38 states....Nine also didn't report. So the number is probably closer to 200, 000. Plus the article says, the number is probably more than the 125K, not including the states that didn't report. So who knows what that number is.

I am sure its more with the vaccine. No one has said different. The vaccine helps---I have never argued it doesn't. But lets not pretend with/without the vaccine, that the death rates, etx, etc...are going to exponentially jump. They are not. Not to mention---200,000 people who are vaccinated, have the ability to spread...And most probably have; felt safe. Sure the vaccine curves the spread. Which is great . But again, bro----this is a virus that has a 98% survival rate, that politicians have us kumping through hoops over. Its crazy.

Its simply not a virus worth shutting the country down over. Very rarely does someone of good, decent health, have complications---or die. Hell I have a heart issue----And didn't have a big deal over it. Data has repeatedly shown that the virus is mostly dangerous to those with health issues, wight/obese, etc, etc...

This shit has a 98% survival rate, yet politicians/society are treating this sit like the plague.. Get vaccinated...wear your mask----wear your mask, inside, even if vaccinated. I mean, WTF...??

And the best part is----when asked(Psaki) about why people who are vaccinated, need to mask up, she gave such a flat, BS answer---"to protect themselves---to protect others..."---Why? If the vaccine works---then why? Her answer was what it was, because she didn't wanna say---"because even if vacinated, you can still catch the shit....".

I've had it...So has my wife....I'm over the shit, TBH. Time to fukin' get on with life.

Give the link a look. Scroll down to the graph. Follow the pink line.

COVID was the #3 cause of death in 2020. In January 2021 COVID was the #1 cause of death in the US by a widening margin. COVID is the #7 cause of death in the US at time of the research July 1st 2021.

The death rate substantially dropped once vaccinations kicked in.

I’d hate to see the actual number of knees and hips replaced bc of obesity. Like what the **** does it take to wake up. Having a body part replaced?

Imo, it isn’t that hard to eat healthy. Produce is not expensive. Organic produce is. The health benefit of organic produce is oftentimes negligible. The thing is, once you get in the habit of eating some of this healthy stuff, you crave it.
People are lazy. It takes 30 minutes to chop veggies and throw together a healthy pot of soup.

There's a mental health crisis going on in this country and food offers people a level of comfort.

1. Large Serving Sizes
2. Eating out of Boredom
3. Fast Casual and Processed Food

Its scary to see how much bigger Americans are now than they were 30 years ago.

My normal diet for a week cost about 6 large value meals. It mostly consist of produce, some frozen fruits/vegs, and proteins. I eat 3 good sized meals a day, plus 2 snacks.(almonds/walnuts, or apples/carrots)

Exactly, My dinner this week is a loaded vegetable soup with turkey(less than 30 minutes(prep) to make for a whole week). If I don't go with soup, it's a huge meal of meat(mostly chicken), and 2 good/huge portions of vegetables, which I sometimes don't finish off.

It's amazing how much food I can/get to eat if I just buy healthy/nutrient rich foods.
