FBI wiretap audio released

Laughing Some of these convos are pretty funny. This is Dawkins and Sood discussing Bowen and his parents:

http://a.espncdn.com/pdf/2018/1025/dawkinssood29T_bowentop20pick.pdf

DAWKINS: Yeah, yeah, no, his son is like a ****ing mute. He doesn't, he don't say much. And shit, unless, I don't know -- somedays he does, but it will be good for you to go up there just to see other players too.

SOOD: Yeah yeah, so we're good there.

DAWKINS: And meet and meet and meet his mom because his mom is who you should deal with a lot too on on Brian, because she's way more organized. The dad is just like a ****ing chicken with his head cut off, he's ******ed. And the mom is like, ****ing smoking hot.

SOOD: Okay, I'm there.

DAWKINS: Like, unbelievable hot, but she has Tourretes so it's a little funny. It's a little funny, but she's ****ing gorgeous, though.

Seems kind of lazy to mention Little and not mention how the family and player himself were in no way involved.

Reading this one, you get the feeling that TJ Gassanola knows to cover his tracks. Makes his testimony a little more sketchy, about he was so certain that none of the coaches ever knew what was going on.

In this convo alone, they mention Dawkins speaking directly with Sean Miller, TJ himself being close with Larranega and telling him what to do, and someone (not sure who they're referring to) being close with Jerrance Howard at KU.

Had the trial been about Self, Townesend, Howard etc I’m sure the excluded evidence would have been damaging toward them. However, it was about the universities not knowing and that was pivotal in this case. Worked out well for ku fans.

I think time will tell on this. The evidence is there for the NCAA to analyze. The verdict really has nothing to do with De Sousa's eligibility or the games he played in last season. This is why Parrish believes the final four gets vacated.

I think that's why KU is doing as much due diligence and working as closely as possible with the NCAA in order for this not to happen. Time will tell what happens. NCAA has always been wildly inconsistent in this regard.

It doesn’t matter how closely they work with the ncaa. If desousa was ineligible to play last year the wins will be vacated.

Never mind. It’s the ncaa we’re speaking of.

Picking at old scabs, but the "he wasn't eligible, therefore the games are vacated" was what everyone was expecting regarding Corey Maggette. Yet the NCAA changed its own precedent from strict liability to, um, not strict liability, concluded that Duke did not know, and vacated jack shit. So you're correct that we cannot predict what the NCAA will do. My prediction is that Kansas gets the Duke treatment, but there's enough to insinuate, if not conclude beyond a reasonable doubt, that Kansas' coaches did know. Remember that part of the prosecution's case was the legal fiction of separation between the university and athletics, so the result that the university was harmed does not insulate the athletic side of the university from implied knowledge.

I would have thought Pitino could close the deal on this one without any money changing hands. Just give Ms. Bowen the best 15 seconds of her life. She is definitely smokin'! :)

Some of yall have really low standards lol
Most posters on this board are really old and probably pretty horny, because they don't get laid much. Check out how 90% of them respond to Kistek. Not a good look. I'll pray to the poon Gods for the mid 40s on up guys, oh and johnhooiser and crazyq, because I know for a fact they don't get laid, unless it's a two man party.

Seems kind of naive to believe that they were in no way involved and Little was just going to Arizona because his "handler" was taking money and not sharing it with the Littles.

Seems kind naive to think Zion was going to accept money from Kansas but didn’t from Dook.
Works both ways.

The MAJOR thing you’re missing (many tend to because they hate Duke and don’t really care about ALL of the facts) is that players from UCLA and Missouri also took money. What happened was by the time it came out, Maggette was in the NBA and the other players were still in school. They were allowed to pay the money back and missed a few games because of the amount they took. There was no way for the NCAA to punish Maggette and they couldn’t punish Duke since this happened before he came to Duke without Duke’s knowledge.

I really wish K would have held Maggette back (insider) and he would have paid the money back like the other players, who never gets mentioned.

I mean, I feel like we don’t have to stretch to believe it because we know it’s true through their family swearing under oath and the testimony that states the family wasn’t taking any money. Not sure where you are going with this one.

Like fan said, if you think Little took money you must really think Zion did. I don’t think he did but we know Little did not. Again, strange comment.

I guess we are to assume that praying to dick gods has worked out fairly well for you?

Not really, that's a false equivalency. If you want to say that Zion was going to go to KU and take money then the scandal broke and he decided to go to the school that didn't pay him that would be similar to the Little situation.

Or are you saying UNC paid Little and Duke paid Zion?

Honestly I don’t really care either way. Tired of hearing about the FBI crap. Too many “grey” areas that are legal.

Not at all strange. The strange thing for me is that everyone knows Little was going to Arizona, UNC fans openly admit this, then the scandal broke and he "re-opened" his recruitment then committed to UNC. We find out through wiretaps that Arizona offered $150K for Little... We are saying that the 2 aren't connected and it's all just a coincidence... Ok fine, but that seems naive to me regardless of what they swore under oath. OJ swore a bunch of stuff under oath as well, must be true.

It wasn’t just stuff sworn under oath. The phone conversations had them saying his family wasn’t interested in a payout.

I mean, it is crappy to drag his name through the mud when he is the one dude we know wasn’t taking money.

Because no one has ever lied under oath.

His name is getting drug through the mud because Miami and Arizona had a bidding war for his services. If the Little family truly knew nothing then his handler has some pretty amazing mind control over Naz, to be able to get paid for his commitment without Little sharing in the bounty. Or Little is just a really great guy for helping a brother out that way.

So the fact they said the family wasn’t taking money just means nothing? I mean, that was before any investigation. Interesting.

I'm not saying they did or they didn't, just think if they didn't know ANYTHING about the money it's a pretty wild coincidence that he was planning to attend the school that paid someone else $150K for his services.

But we KNOW the shady people involved were concerned because the family wasn’t for sale. I don’t feel like that is a debatable part of this story. So, again, just not seeing where this is making any sense tbh.

Ok, I don't really care because if someone offered me $150k to go to Arizona or Miami and bang coeds I'd say yes please.
