ESPN's Way Too Early Top 25

Tre Jones is returning and we should return all of our other players like DeLaurier, Bolden, O'Connell, Baker, Goldwire and White.

We bring in 2 5 stars in Vernon Carey and Wendell Moore, a 4 star in Boogie Ellis plus we will also likely pick up Hurt.

PG: Jones/Goldwire
SG: Moore/AOC/Ellis
SF: Moore/Hurt/White
PF: Hurt/DeLaurier/Carey
C: Carey/DeLaurier/Bolden
4 frosh starters and not elite ones at that? Likely a first weekend exit type duke team.

What does that have to do with Duke?

Also, Johnny Dawkins, Grant Hill, Corey Maggette, Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer, Mike Dunleavy Jr, Chris Duhon, JJ Redick, Gerald Henderson Jr, Lance Thomas, Kyle Singler, Austin Rivers, Seth Curry, Rodney Hood, Quinn Cook, Justise Winslow, Brandon Ingram, Harry Giles II, and Frank Jackson have not/did not underperform at the next level.

Not recalling much 'all star' level play or achievement from those dudes. In Grant Hill's defense, the ankle issues hampered him for most of his career.

Everyone who isn't an All-Star has underachieved? Wow. That's kind of like expecting people to have everything figured out by their second rodeo.

....Maybe they don't need to reach all-star levels, but getting that 2nd contract or a max contract is a better gauge of NBA career success.

See, I would say carving out pretty solid multi-year careers is pretty good for second round picks like Boozer, Duhon, and Singler. I'd say averaging 18 per game in his 12th season is pretty solid for JJ Redick. And so on...

Della is going to whip your ass. You had better move Tennessee up about 20 places! :)

Most of those guys that actually could be considered to have not underformed in the NBA were high level recruits whose draft stock took a huge hit by going to duke. So they performed or overperformed their draft position but have severely underperformed their high school recruiting rankings.

Conversely, UK players have both maintained their draft stock and performed as well or better than could be expected at the next level. The only recruits that have underperformed EITHER their recruiting ranking or draft position from UK have been the Harrison twins, marquis Teague, james young, skal and Orton.

That's 7 out of 35 prospects during Cal's tenure.

Conversely, Bledsoe, darius Miller, Devin Booker, WCS, Murray, and SGA have all significantly overperformed.

I see you finally stopped crying and are back in overhype my team mode. Good to see.

Knew OSu had a solid class, but didn't know it was this highly thought of.

I am just glad the gun jammed, the potato fell out of the tail pipe, the rope broke and a truck carrying a load of cotton happened to be driving under the overpass at the exact moment he jumped. Hate to lose a Duke fan.
