End of Tennessee Vanderbilt regulation

You have to stop making things up. I never said I was neutral or that I only cared for UNC. Read better.

Yes, I understand it has to do with the rule. It is the intent to deceive the official. Everyone knows this. I have no idea what you are talking about with being 'hurt'. Seriously, no clue whatsoever. I assume you misunderstood something I said.

However, regardless of what you think (or I think either tbh) they are also calling it for players simply hooking and holding players as they jump. They are, which is what they did and what apparently they are supposed to do. Keep bitching though, man, This is somewhat entertaining on a slow Thursday night.

I’m not the one bitching. I’m responding to you UT fans’ whining posts.

Whining about our coach not shaking a hand of a creepy crawly who popped over from behind the UT coach to the side of coach Drew after he passed and then you claim Drew rejected him. Waaah!

Your guy flops on the floor after hooking and holding Brown. Rolls around in agony until he gets a call. Waah! Then hops up unhurt to shoot FTs.

I corrected stuff you said. If you’re going to get up and lie, not everyone is going to sit still for it. That doesn’t mean I would have had anything at all to say had you guys not been lying and griping about the game.

And if you don’t know what I meant about how hurt you are then you can’t take a joke about your own stupid statement in a last paragraph where you tried to claim I must have been hurt by UT. Hardly! I’m not against UT aside from when they behave badly. I grew up listening to john ward and liking UT. Family members went there and to VU both. Nothing against them generally.

But didn’t care for the head hunting garbage done to Vaughn in football by UT and was unimpressed by the several uncalled fouls on plays by Williams.

No, you are the one bitching. You blame the officials instead of letting Vandy own their late game awful play, which is kind of a thing for them. That is bitching.

I don't really care about the handshake. Just thought it would get you worked up.

I'm not lying. I'm just trying to get you to understand what happened. You still don't but that isn't really on me at this point.

You are all over the place now. It's all good though. It has run its course.

I have explained the rule to you. You never watched the play and don’t give a rip about the rule, which you don’t even know or the point of it. You spend your night trying to have the last word. Is that the UNC side of you or the UT side? You have no clue what happened in the play and could care less other than to flap your jaws. Plenty of people saw and know what happened and know it was a bogus call.

Just keep repeating yourself. I’ve tried to help you understand how the rule works. I have other threads to read. Please stop dragging me back in here with your repeating the same thing.

Yes i know VU could have done many things better. Just was correcting stuff that wasn’t true in the comments.

The VU player’s arm was under the the UT player’s arm. Some observers felt UT’s Williams deliberately hooked VU’s Brown to hold him down but as they leaped up for the rebound, Brown released himself from Williams’ grasp and Williams was left holding on to nothing and lost his balance.

Had Williams not landed so poorly in his flopping exhibition, nothing would have been called. After the F1 was called, Williams immediately stopped rolling around on the floor and strolled away with ease, shooting free throws and running down the floor to score some more points the rest of the way.

He was certainly not injured. Yet he made it look like he’d broken his back when the play first happened, selling the F1 to help UT catch up. UT until that play was behind by enough to lose, with less than 90 seconds to play in regulation.

With it being on national TV and a number one team involved, the refs seemed to just assume they should blame the play on Vanderbilt after witnessing Williams’ theatrics. It’s hard to respect the refs after that call because the refs had several minutes to review the video and see what happened. A mistake like that by a ref is easier to understand when there has not been a review with monitors.

Also they made several other bad calls like the one where a UT player backed his head into VU’s big man Wetzell under the basket where he was standing upright, yet somehow this resulted in fouling out Wetzell. Also, late in the game, Saben Lee sustained a shot to the face while driving, but it was not called or even reviewed by the refs who refused to look at it.
Hook was an easy call.

Are you telling me Williams rolled around during the entire time they reviewed the play? Damn, that's a lot of rolling around.

I know the rule. It was an easy call.....

While bitching---I don't see you upset about the non intentional foul call on Vandy. At the end, Vandy kid simply grabs UT kid around the waist. Zero play on the ball. SHould have been intentional.

Point being----It all even outs.

Wasn’t an easy call and not even close to what I have seen called and not called. There was no hook and no pull down of the arm. I thought it was a terrible call. Especially after the long review.

You believing that really helps the 'was the right call' crowd tbh.

I guess you saw something different than I did. He certainly hooked him. The call is not consistent, and won't be. But that call I thought was easy. JMO.
