honestly not trying to troll, but how does Bagley not get 15-20 shots a game? Why did two, three, four straight possessions go by without him even getting a touch? You heard it here first.

UVA will make the second round in 2019.
Calling it now.

Was waiting for you to post this. Will K be able to pull his best Roy impersonation and get some draft-worthy guys to return? Carter, Trent, Duval? Do they land Montgomery? If they lose all 5 starters and need to rely on 4 or 5 freshman, Bolden, and DeLaurier, they aren't winning anything, IMO.You heard it here first.
This is bold predictions not unrealistic ones

Op is trying to do what he did in 2014.
Good luck.
Haha, that would be unexpected! Not sure if any of them are returning, but rumors are swirling that OConnell, Vrank, White, and Delaurier will return and not opt for the NBA! Winking

Oh for sure, Carter and Bagley were beasts on the glass and both were superior offensive players. Losing both of them would hurt. Whether they land Montgomery or not they aren't going to get 35 points and 20 boards between Bolden, Montgomery, and DeLaurier. That is what Bagley and Carter averaged between the two of them. Zion, Reddish, and Barrett are all good at rebounding their position, but they aren't going to own the glass either.Duke got killed on the boards today and when UNC played them. Don't think next years class will be that formidable inside which means it can happen again next year. Carter and Bagley are better in the post than what they'll bring in next year.

Duke gonna have a really good PG and three small forwards next year. Maybe Carter stays and fills the center role.

Better chance landing Montgomery than Carter coming back
I'm not convinced Montgomery is a difference maker tbh. Though I will say Zion as a small ball 5 is VERY interesting if K goes that way.
When we switched to zone we basically conceded our defensive rebounding advantage to prevent getting killed by dribble drive penetration by quick guards.Oh for sure, Carter and Bagley were beasts on the glass and both were superior offensive players. I agree with Montgomery, just stating more of chance to land him then Carter staying. Personally, I think Duke will struggle next year.
Honestly it's way too early to tell for any team. We'll see come this summer when everything is finalized. I do think you guys could have another near 10 loss season though if nobody comes back. Having a team of almost exclusively freshmen is not fun.
Being able to defend man-to-man will definitely be key, as will rebounding from the 2 through 4 spots. The length Duke will have, especially at 2 and 3, will be a bonus. When we switched to zone we basically conceded our defensive rebounding advantage to prevent getting killed by dribble drive penetration by quick guards.
If we can defend in MTM well next year, Duke should still be a very good rebounding team.
Did you see that FIBA game where Barrett beat Team USA all by himself? He’s going to be a stud.I agree with Montgomery, just stating more of chance to land him then Carter staying. Personally, I think Duke will struggle next year. I'm not sold on this recruiting class as I don't think it is a strong class, not sure Barrett would even be a top 10 player in last year's class.
Duke has had only one 10+ loss season this decade; the year after winning it all and going to the Sweet 16. Not bad for all freshman in a tough league.
Is it me or could Trent use another year at Duke? I thought he was a better athlete than what he showed. His handles aren't very good either. I just expected more out of him I guess.

For real. Barrett is a stud. Not even top 10 last year?! The dude is the likely #1 pick next year. Top 3 at worst. In fact, Barrett, Reddish, and Zion should all go in the top 5. Talk about some pressure to perform...Did you see that FIBA game where Barrett beat Team USA all by himself? He’s going to be a stud.
His jumper does need work, that's true.I have seen Barrett play 3 times this year. Not saying isn't good, but he is a one way player and his J is questionable

You do know we play @ Wofford next year, right? And we won't lose to Wofford.
