Wonder of hes the heir apparent to keels since he stayed in the draft, or if him being so young hes more of a future piece. Seems weird to reclassify if ur not gonna play alot right away though. Otoh gettin into a college strength and conditioning program and practicing against studs will have to improve his game.
I have no clue on their scholarship sitch but doubt k ever uses all 13 anyways as much turnover as theh have (or scheyer)

so at 6”5 and coming off a torn achilles rs frosh mike james is the only guard we have to come off the bench, and thats assuming we land both ramey and bates. So yea desperate for guards. Wish we had done more to hold onto pettiford instead of taking four worthless transfers last year smdh locke/cross/west/faulkner ridiculous. Sad part our coaching was so bad all those guys seemingly got worse, well i know locke was at least decent at florida. Terrible last year smh
just a microcosm, ellis was interviewed and asked about the new staff and he said quote “its really cool having rh head coach out there at practice with us”. Like wtf mack, and apparently his assistants ran his practices at xavier too. Blows my mind he was so successful there. Oh well he seemed like a homerun hire at the time, hindsight is 20/20

Idk man it seems we had all the momentum and crystal balls in the world in the middle of may. Then He announced he wasnt deciding til mid june.
We are supposed to hire the son of the ceo of rocnation in mid june, as director of player personel or some shit, and emoni already has a NIL deal with them so maybe thats the hold up idk its been really quiet on that front for a while.
I seen lurk say he heard bates is considering going to a smaller school so he can focus on his game and not be thrust into the spotlight again but who knows at this point. Daddy prolly has a NIL bidding war going tbh lol
idk about top 25 i just wanna make the tourney. Bc again that lineup listed two starters we dont even have yet, not to mention the lack of depth in the bc, one injury could derail us quick.
I am super intrigued by our FC. Curry show flashes of dominance last year, HH is a versatile soph 5star who can hopefully take a nice soph jump, rose wheeler was a 5 star as a hs jr but missed his sr season with a torn achilles, but hes got his mobility back jsit needs to shake off the rust. And then withers took a step back last year, but so did everyone, so hopefully he can bounce back. Traynor is gonna have to find a way to pck on some weight, hes tall and lanky and gets pushed around down low, but hes pretty skilled and has a nice outside shot.
Roach is the PG tho right. Isnt This kid is more of a 2 or CG. Plus assuming keels was staying in the draft regardless, pretty nice pickup this late. Not like they told keels dont worry about coming back, we got proctor to reclass.
Best part to me about kids reclassifying js they have to stay 2 years as opposed to jist one, but ur right most that have reclassified have struggles although i cant think of a ton.
Yeah, he will play alongside Roach I would think. Roach played quite well late in the year so I think that will continue next year. I think he is only thinking he is there one year from what I've heard. He is old for his class so is eligible after next year. I just think as a rival I would rather him be there early and possibly struggle than be at Duke the year after where he would be a year older and even better.
Wow thats pretty weird a kid was ranked 20th in his class, moved up a class, and expects to be a one and done. I guess crazier things have happened tho. He does have nice size

I saw where gg jackson made a huge jump in one of the ranking sites. Hes the firstnplayer to ever take the #1 spot away from dj wagner in the 2023 class. Wagner did ball out in the eybl tho so he might grab it back lol. Jackson def looks like a stud though. Yall have any seniors? Bacot/love/davis all jrs right? Still cant believ mayer went to Ill what a dumbass coumd have atepped into maneks spot ona legit contender. Granted Illinois should be decent but i dont see them as a contender.
GG is another good example of a reclass situation. As a UNC I'm glad he isn't going to do it because I think he will be considerably better coming in the next year. UNC losses a ton next year. Bacot and Love and Leaky are for sure gone and then you have other guys who may leave depending on how the year goes.
But if hes not old for his class, he would have to spend two years at UNC instead of one, which would lead one to believe he would have a MONSTER soph season. Get the growing oains out of the way year 1, and instead of bolt for the draft, if they arent old for thier class they have to stay 2 years. I cant imagine a sr year of high school makes a player better than a freshmen year of college. Unless of course they hit a mental block
Honestly wouldnt suprise me if emoni bates blew up this year after a terrible freshmen canpaign where he was always the youngest player on the court. These top tier recruits dont usually stay 4 years anyways so it would be like having a should be freshmen with a year of college exp under his belt.
Idk i dont follow the logic that gg would be better in 2023 if he played next year in HS as opposed at UNC, where he will get top notch coaching/nutrition/strength and conditioning. Sure he might struggle his freshmen season, but he shoulda been in HS anyways. But he should get the growing pains out of the way and explode his soph season imo (or any stud recruit)
I am always under the assumption that guys that reclass will be of age to go pro if they choose after their one year. Yes, if it guarantees two years at UNC obviously that would be better than just one year. Most reclass guys end up going back to where they should have been anyway so don't have to stay two years.
A sophomore Keels would have had All-American potential, IMO. Huge loss for us.
I think Proctor is a better shooter and facilitator than Keels. But, he's awfully lean. I worry how he's going to handle the physicality of big-time college basketball. Also, think he needs to improve as a defender. I have relatively modest expectations for him, maybe 10-12 ppg.
