All of those stats must speak to Duke being a really good team.
One of the best teams to not win a championship for sure. Probably a battle between them and 2015 Kentucky for best team to not make title gameAll of those stats must speak to Duke being a really good team.

They make Final Fours. That’s for sure! All of those stats must speak to Duke being a really good team.
They are not performers, so who cares if they didn't post last night? The only Duke fans I remember posting last night were @GhostOf301 and @tw3301
The rest were not heard from

I don’t, I was just responding to another postThey are not performers, so who cares if they didn't post last night?
While I agree Houston deserves a ton of credit, you can’t have the talent Duke does and blow that lead. It’s not choking if a better team takes control, but if there’s no talent discrepancy it’s definitely some kind of choke.Houston hit a few more 3s and got 9 more rebounds. I don't really consider what they did "choking" until the final 2 minutes with the TOs, missed FTs in clutch time. Houston deserves credit for taking the game late and hanging close all game. Houston is so poised and good in late game situations too
How much of the blame is on Scheyer, Duke fans?
It still wasn’t as bad or a Duke choke job as the ‘99 final.
How good can they be? They couldn't even beat lowly Kentucky.Even crazier Duke stat:
They suck.
I mostly blame Scheyer for that loss but from everything I’ve heard from people in the program, this dude is an absolute psycho in terms of his dedication to the job.I've got it at 60% Scheyer, 40% Duke fans
Did dukedevilz retire from message boards?
Didn't even know you were knocked up. Congrats!I'm good. Still here. Backlogged at work. And baby #4 is coming in a couple weeks (thankfully it will be the first one not born in March). My plate is fuller than normal.
But your wife and mom swallow.

He’s got the nice Jewish guy personality but this loss probably darkened his soul. Villain Scheyer is probably not good news for the rest of college basketball in the decade ahead. He’s going to take this loss very very personally.
Didn't even know you were knocked up. Congrats!
I was always curious where Duke fans rated the '98 UK game. That game, in my mind, was over. Similarly to Saturday's game against Houston when Duke was up 14 with like 8 or 9 min left. It was over in my mind.I like making lists. So, here it is. The worst/most painful tournament losses for me since I've been watching Duke.
1. UConn, 1999 - NCAA Title Game (arguably the most talented Duke team ever. Brand had 2 shots in the final 10 minutes?)
2. Indiana, 2002 - Sweet 16 (#1 team heading to the tournament; 6 point lead with 2+ minutes left)
3. UConn, 2004 - Final Four (8 point lead with 3+ minutes left - all 3 bigs foul out)
4. Houston, 2025 - Final Four (6 point lead with less than 40 seconds)
5. Kentucky, 1998 - Elite Eight (17 point lead blown with under 10 minutes left)
6. UNC, 2022 - Final Four (Missed free throws and possibly some missed calls in the final minute)
7. Michigan State, 2019 - Elite Eight (0 transition points)
8. Kansas, 2018 - Elite Eight (Grayson's shot at the end of regulation went around the rim twice before bouncing out)
9. Arkansas, 1994 - NCAA Title Game (Scottie Thurman makes a 3-pointer with 1 sec on the shot clock and 50 seconds in the game)
10. Lehigh, 2012 - Round of 64 (2 Seed! Only saving grace is CJ McCollum was a really good pro)

College basketball is a crazy sport.
Also just read that the Duke Houston game peaked at 20 million viewers. Will be curious to see what tonight's game does.
A nearly 9 PM tip on a Monday certainly isn't doing any viewership favors. Tip the damn game at 7. Nobody gives a shit about the west coasters anyway.I was always curious where Duke fans rated the '98 UK game. That game, in my mind, was over. Listed as 8:50, but that's probably just when all the pre-game bullshit and intros start, highly doubt it tips at 8:50.is the tip 9:18 pm est? It's always something weird like that.
But the refs…
/s the obvious difference in the game was rebounding
Absolute bs the tip off is that late. 8 pm wouldn’t be that bad, but you’re right…no one gives a shit about cbb on the west coast, makes no sense. I remember being in SF during our run in 2013, and heading to a sports bar near my office, and everyone wanted to watch Giants spring training. Me and a couple homies had to basically plea with the bartender to change the ****ing channel.A nearly 9 PM tip on a Monday certainly isn't doing any viewership favors. Tip the damn game at 7. To get a KU fan's perspective...what was a bigger collapse in your opinion: Duke against Houston, or Memphis against KU in 2008?Did dukedevilz retire from message boards?

I don't remember all the specifics from the KU Memphis game, but I believe Memphis also had a 9 point lead with 2 min left (like Duke); however, IIRC (and you may have to correct me on this), Memphis' collapse seemed to be solely due to missed free throws. Duke had some of that, but they also had the some key TOs, don't recall if Memphis had that issue as well.
