Louisville opened the season with a 4-3 ten inning win @ #7 Texas.
That's a great win! Texas is always good.

You ever heard of Cal St Fullerton? I think they have won some championships back in the day.
Yeah, I know about that, but I could see how that could happen, we all know who they are and back then, NIL wasn't a thing, seeing Dallas-Baptist ranked in today's landscape, is just odd.
I wonder what their enrollment is?
Shoot, San Francisco has back to back basketball titles, so it's not totally out of the ordinary for CSF to have success.

Gotcha. They’ve made a regional basically ever year for a decade. Couple super regionals in that time.
I don't recall ever getting caught stealing. That’s not surprising, considering I ran the 100m in 10.9 and was all state in the 110 high hurdles.
But what you might find impressive, is in my final game in 8th grade, I hit a home run and pitched a no hitter. I only had a fast ball and a side arm cutter back then, but they couldn't hit em. Same team that beat us two weeks earlier 5-0.
I don't run like I used to, but at 51, I can put 5 miles down no problem. I still play pick up football and basketball and even though I'm not 160lbs anymore, I still have some wheels.
I haven't hurdled in many years, but I know I could still do it.
Did you ever try your hand at 400 intermediate hurdles? Talk abput a grueling race. Ugh, I hated it, but nobody else wanted to do it, so I had to.
My college roommate was back to back 400 hurdle ACC champ. And he agreed that it was by far the hardest race. I was more of a 60-200 kind of guy. So running the 4x400 was tough. But he used to say it was a breeze after the 400h.
I was the first leg of our mile relay team my senior year.
The only race I have found that is tougher than the intermediate hurdles, is the steeplechase. I saw that in the last Olympics. OMG, that race is ridiculous.
Steeplechase is def hard. But at least there’s some pacing to it. 400h is still treated like a sprint. At least at the level where guys are going 50 seconds or better.

Yup, it's a sprint.
The steeplechase has you going over tough obstacles and running through water. By the time you finish that race, your feet would be notjing but blistered. Ugh.
The events I ran in a regular meet:

110 hh
Mile relay
That's all they would allow you to run, but jeez, when you have to run each race multiple times in sectionals/regionals/states, your legs go numb.
Good to know you ran track though, that’s awesome.
What's your best time in the 400? I was just over 50 seconds, I tried so hard to get to 49, but never did it.
