That's a great win! Texas is always good.Louisville opened the season with a 4-3 ten inning win @ #7 Texas.
Looks like a good start for the reigning champs outscoring Hofstra 46-2 in the 3 game set.
Next up for the Vols is UNC- Asheville on Tuesday
Great game...I enjoyed it.That game vs FSU last year was such a gift. Noles got so screwed.
To be fair, Hofstra had not been able to practice outside since Christmas.Looks like a good start for the reigning champs outscoring Hofstra 46-2 in the 3 game set.

Baseball is kinda cool in the way a peewee team can KO a big team on a given day.Just looked at the rankings. Dallas Baptist is ranked 20th. WTF?

Just never heard of them and how the hell did they get that kind of talent? Are you surprised that’s too high? Or too low?
Yeah, I played baseball for many years, I totally get how it works, but Dallas Baptist?Baseball is kinda cool in the way a peewee team can KO a big team on a given day.
You ever heard of Cal St Fullerton? I think they have won some championships back in the day.Yeah, I played baseball for many years, I totally get how it works, but Dallas Baptist?
Yeah, I know about that, but I could see how that could happen, we all know who they are and back then, NIL wasn't a thing, seeing Dallas-Baptist ranked in today's landscape, is just odd.You ever heard of Cal St Fullerton? I think they have won some championships back in the day.
They got a lot of Baptist in Texas, Jeff. Btw, I have played a lot of softball back in the day. I'm a switch hitter and you could call me a contact hitter. Let me on base and I'll steal you blind. I wonder what their enrollment is?
Shoot, San Francisco has back to back basketball titles, so it's not totally out of the ordinary for CSF to have success.

They have been a good program the last decade or soJust looked at the rankings. Dallas Baptist is ranked 20th. WTF?
I don't recall ever getting caught stealing. That’s not surprising, considering I ran the 100m in 10.9 and was all state in the 110 high hurdles. They got a lot of Baptist in Texas, Jeff. That’s very impressiveGotcha. They’ve made a regional basically ever year for a decade. Couple super regionals in that time.
That is impressive. I ran track and cross country in HS. I still run to this day.I don't recall ever getting caught stealing. That’s not surprising, considering I ran the 100m in 10.9 and was all state in the 110 high hurdles.
But what you might find impressive, is in my final game in 8th grade, I hit a home run and pitched a no hitter. I only had a fast ball and a side arm cutter back then, but they couldn't hit em. Same team that beat us two weeks earlier 5-0.
I don't run like I used to, but at 51, I can put 5 miles down no problem. I still play pick up football and basketball and even though I'm not 160lbs anymore, I still have some wheels. That is impressive. I ran track and cross country in HS. I still run to this day.

I haven't hurdled in many years, but I know I could still do it.
Did you ever try your hand at 400 intermediate hurdles? Talk abput a grueling race. Ugh, I hated it, but nobody else wanted to do it, so I had to.
I was the first leg of our mile relay team my senior year.My college roommate was back to back 400 hurdle ACC champ. And he agreed that it was by far the hardest race. I was more of a 60-200 kind of guy. So running the 4x400 was tough. But he used to say it was a breeze after the 400h.

The only race I have found that is tougher than the intermediate hurdles, is the steeplechase. I saw that in the last Olympics. OMG, that race is ridiculous.

Why? You itching for a race? What's your best time?
Only if we stream it. We can meet halfway in Nashville. Why? You itching for a race?
Yup, it's a sprint.Steeplechase is def hard. But at least there’s some pacing to it. 400h is still treated like a sprint. At least at the level where guys are going 50 seconds or better.
The events I ran in a regular meet:I ran the 400.
A good bit slower than that. The events I ran in a regular meet:
100m
200m
110 hh
Mile relay
That's all they would allow you to run, but jeez, when you have to run each race multiple times in sectionals/regionals/states, your legs go numb.
Good to know you ran track though, that’s awesome.
What's your best time in the 400? I was just over 50 seconds, I tried so hard to get to 49, but never did it.
