Auburn has to be a 2 seed at this point

Yeah but in the past the smoke was about UK, not the conference.
Yeah, but as a UK fan, we're getting it anyway, so we might as well have fun with it now.

Hell, it doesn’t matter, if there are two SEC teams in the FF, that won't be enough, several fans from other conferences are still going to talk shit and say it wasn't good enough, even if an SEC team beats another SEC team to get in.

Florida really impressed me.

Auburn is leaking oil but they’ll be ok.

I don’t trust Tennessee on offense.

As for my Heels I’ll be on the couch waiting on my friends to join me.

If there’s 2 SEC teams in the FF that’s a win.

Oh, I am definitely on the Florida is better than Auburn today team. But I was saying that Auburn has played their way out of the number 1 overall seed.

I don’t think either Duke or Houston have the resume Florida would with a SEC Tournament win. Duke also has injury issues with their best player that the committee will consider.

Meh I think Houston and Florida's SOS will be similar. Duke has a worse SOS but they have one less loss and they've been extremely impressive. Flagg's gonna play in the tourney I'm sure of it. It wouldn't be right if he wasn't playing.

I still consider us underdogs. Young brilliant coach yet to prove it in the tourney. I will say his confidence would intimidate me a bit if I were an opponent. Today at half it was a very tight game and Bama was playing really well and he was like "nah we good". I have so much trauma for blowing leads Im literally worried until there's less than a minute left. The Mike White era scarred me.

Houston doesn’t have the top end wins that Florida would have. Not even close.

The have lost 3 out of their last 4 and are only 8-4 since the start of February. Hard to put them ahead of Tennessee right now and if Florida wins today, they should get the nod as well.

Duke
Houston
Florida
Tennessee

They do have a lot of quad 1 wins though, so their sluggish end of season probably won't get emotional kicked off the one line. But they should be.
Wow. That’s a really dumb take. Auburn will likely still be the overall #1.

That's fine. I'm not hating on Florida and if they end up with the number one overall over Duke. There is certainly justification for that. But Duke is not going to lose a one seed. They have not played their way out of it by any means. They can't help how bad their conference is. So the best thing they can do is win the games they're supposed to in the manner that they're supposed to. And for the most part, they have.

No but the way they measure it is funky. Like Arizona state is ranked 75 so an away win is considered Q1. UCF is like 70 also Q1, and Kansas St also like 73ish (the cutoff is 75). We have like 3 away games in the 80s that are basically the same but aren't.

And the other general SOS ratings say their "easy" games were rated higher than ours. It's all kinda blah honestly. But seriously, I'd rather be the underdog anyways.

Overall #1 seeds don't end this way.

I think the committee is aware of that. Beating Arizona State and Auburn on the road are both quad 1 wins, but one is not at all like the other.

Every ACC team would LOVE to have Kentucky in their bracket. But I know you’re proud of the football schools.
UK is 2-1 against the ACC, there is nobody in the ACC that UK fans would be worried about. Watching this title game looks very JV-ish after seeing the 2 SEC games earlier,

Early season Kentucky is not playing now. You got beat by 30 to a team that lost by 20 today. Kentucky I guess is a final four contender if it was November madness. lol at Jeff being so proud of his conference. 11 losses would have anyone pulling for other conference teams I guess.

If only UK got to play the likes of Miami, Boston College, Syracuse, VT and Stanford instead of Auburn, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

Since February 1st, UK is top 15 in defense and still top 7 in offense even riddled with injuries and playing the #5 SOS.

You look silly trying to argue.

Unless your are just trying to troll (which you may be), this is one of the dumbest posts I have seen on this board.

Yeah, the team that ran away and won the regular season championship in one of the toughest conferences ever doesn't deserve a one seed....right.

If Auburn doesn't deserve a one seed, then Duke doesn't deserve anything better then a three seed.
It's hilarious to me watching Kentucky fans defend their conference when it's been shit (for the most part) for 40 years and they've benefited from it.

You did, for forever.

Auburn, Duke, Houston, and Florida should be the 1 seeds. No idea who the #1 overall seed will be. All 4 teams have legitimate arguments.

1 seeds can't be paired with a 2 seed from the same conference. So, Duke and Houston both know they're either getting Tennessee or Alabama. I would guess Michigan State and St. John's are the two remaining #2 seeds, and they'll be paired up with Auburn and Florida.

IF UT beats UF today, they make a strong argument for a #1 seed. Just sayin.

Maybe not. Unlike you, the committee doesn't emphasize recent results and hasn't done so for a couple decades. The look at the totality of resume and Auburn still has the best resume in the country.

If I'm not mistaking, don't the SEC teams get screwed in this scenario because the committee has drawn their teams before the championship game has concluded?
That may or may not be true, but UT still makes an argument for a #1 seed with a win over UF.

Pretty much, and the conference won't change it because reasons. So stupid.

UK got under seeded a bunch of times in the Cal era because of it too. The ACC is dogshit this year, and the SEC is very good. Those are facts. I hope every other SEC team loses in the first round though.

Auburn/MSU
Duke/Bama
Houston/Tennessee
Florida/St Johns

Yup and unlike you guys, we owned it, but we also won when it counted in the tournament. They don't hand out final 4's and national titles just for winning conference tournaments.

Also, UK didn’t just play SEC competition for 100 years, they also played games against other conference teams and obviously did very well.

The ACC got smacked in November and December, especially by the SEC. Y'all just need to own it, just like we had to all those years.

What's even more hilarious, is all the fans from the acc acting like they aren't fans of the acc, but defend it to the death and go on the attack against fans of teams from the sec for talking about how strong the conference is. Y'all did exactly what you’re getting mad at us for.

"But, but, but, y'all played in a sucky sec for many years blah, blah, blah".

The acc is historically bad, I don't recall the sec ever being this bad. Just own it, we had to.

The SEC is gay.
