Arkansas fans, get ready...

Clearly, clearly I was talking about the 2nd half. As I just said and proved to you.

I already mentioned Kentucky's shooting. It's not an aberration, that's who they are right now. But, Kentucky was 8/26 (31%) from 3 in the second half in both games [5/17 vs Gonzaga; so they were +15 from three in the second half vs Gonzaga].

Kentucky is now 82nd in the country from the 3 & 8th in the SEC. It looks quite obviously to be the norm.
There was nothing clear whatsoever about your original post. Verbatim, you say, "Down a combined 25 points at half vs Gonzaga and Duke and then both teams proceed to shoot 1/20 from three with the vast majority being wide open."

There is no mention of second half only.

You can perform whatever mental gymnastics you would like to discredit UKs wins (which is exactly what you are doing, regardless of what meaningless caveat you throw in at the end about giving UK "props" for winning the game, as you discredit it the entire post haha).

And again, UK missed wide open 3 after wide open 3 as well, yet you just want to gloss over that by pointing to their last 4 games only. You are being logically inconsistent.

Kentucky was 2/3 on open 3s and 0/4 on guarded threes in the 2nd. Maybe 1/2 open and 1/5 guarded.

Only false statement I've made the entire time was Kentucky was 2/7 from three in the second from Gonzaga (I looked at the first half for the 5/17)

Take your Pope dildo out and you can begin to think rationally again.

In conclusion, if one team scores more points than the other, they win the game.
Absolutely. You all scored more points. Kentucky is ranked correctly. I thought we were just talking ball and Homer Simpson had to jump in to spew nonsense.

If someone misses an open three it should count as -1 point.

Guarded threes should be 4.

But....why stop at 3's? A point-blank miss should be -3.

A doink dunk -5.

He's already almost matched the win total of the '21 team, which you said was better than this one.

So one of your comments has been proven to be way wrong, but I haven't seen one that's been proven right...
The 2021 team:

A. Didn't get to practice together until a few weeks before the season and none of those players had played a single game with each other before that season's opener.

B. Had arguably it's most talented player injured, like the second game of the season.

C. Didn't have the advantage of playing seven absolutely terrible teams in the first ten games of the season like this arkansas team has.

This arkansas team will still lose around twelve games, which puts them on par performance wise with that, 2021 kentucky team.

Yikes, you are way too obsessed with Kentucky basketball dude.

I can't imagine taking all this time to screenshot 3 point shots from a game that my team didn't even play in.

I bet you sit around watching UK games live, and then re-watch the game on YouTube.

And on top of that, you go straight to sexual references. Speaks volumes about you dude.

Let me know how the game against Colgate goes tonight, am sure you will watch at least twice.

Yikes, I just got put in my place. Let me throw in an ad hominem.

It took maybe 15 minutes. Open up espn get the time stamps for the shots, open up the replay, take screenshot, upload picture.

It sucks having YoutubeTV the reason for not being able to screenshot stuff. I can get watchespn, but can't screenshot it.

What do you have @Hogs1988

I remember when folks used to screenshot bad fouls. I'm foul so most of mine are big titty women in the stands or a great sign.

Xfinity. Just use your phone, upload to teams, copy/paste. It was easy.

So easy, that I had to put a guy who said, "UK missed wide open 3 after wide open 3 as well" in his place. The only WIDE open threes UK got in the second they went 1/2. Dude is a level 5000 homer. For those guys, you just have to put reality so plainly in front of their face that not even they can deny it.

But, he just went to, "you spent so much time, how dumb."

What was the initial point being made? I got lost in the details.

UK shook Duke and Zaga so badly that they missed open and contested threes?

That happens a lot. No argument there.

They were making them in the 1st half and adjustments were made.

Happens to the best of us.

Zaga should work on playing against a 1-3-1 trapping zone switch to man to man. A lot of those open 3's were rushed shots.

Still a big fan of Arkansas. Live here west of Memphis and a few Arkansas friends. Plus I know half their team better than they do.

They'll look really good like last night and then look awful the next. Massive question right now for players 7-9. Z is maybe the worst space defender I've ever seen (Kentucky would kill him the moment he steps on the court), and Richmond/Knox just don't look ready. With Aidoo being still hurt, it's been hard to play a full 40. Guys are gassed in the second of every game.

I'd say Arkansas is a 5-7 seed with an EE ceiling at the moment.

We were actually a huge fan of Zvonimir Ivišić. His coming out party was awesome and we celebrated everything he did. Most, if not all are still fans. How do you not love the kid?

He's an instant TO, can't rebound, and can't defend. If he's not hitting 50% from 3 - and even then - he's a liability on the court.

I'd wager if you counted all of the times he's dribbled the ball this year, it would be less than the number of turnovers he has. It's pretty incredible his TO rate right now. He leads the team in TOs and he's a pick and pop post who either shoots it or waits for a guard to run to him to get the ball back.

Dorky Lunardi had them last 4 in prior to last night's game.
Let me rephrase: look at this team right now, I'd forsee in March they'll be seeded as a 5-7 seed. If the tournament were tomorrow, I'd go 8-10 seed like Lunardi stated.

This was Aidoo's second game of the season to play remotely meaningful minutes and we kept one of the best offensive rebound teams in the country to 5 OR with 3 ball out of bounds ORs. Two of those 5 ORs were off of FTs when our PF with the flu had a 7' just shove him under the basket.

This team isn't remotely what it could be like. On paper, 3/5 best players on the team have either missed multiple games (Brazile/Aidoo) or were/are still struggling with injuries (Davis - wrist/Aidoo - foot).

That being said, Arkansas is an injury to Fland away from the season just completely falling apart. When he's off the court, the offense becomes non-existent.

It's fun reading about what UK would have been this season.

Rare to have this luxury of seeing both sides.

What do you think about Thiero?
Perhaps the best athlete to put on a hog uniform in decades. He had a contest last night, that Michigan somehow made, where his head was at the rim on help d as he went vertical. There were some plays with him and Edgecome vs Baylor that were wild.

However, if he doesn't start hitting some shots - or at least taking them - he makes it hard to run the middle screen offense. His man just plays safety in the paint. He also gets lost a lot on defense. In general, my biggest frustration with the team so far has been off-ball defense. You go back and watch that Illinois game it was maddening how bad the off-ball defense was. So many wide open threes because of horrible rotations.

All that said, he has to play a lot of minutes. He brings a lot to the court that we don't have: 5 position defender, strong rebounder, finishing, potential 3 level scorer.

The coaching staff will work those details out.
Hard to fix lateral quickness. Most of his issues are related to the fact that he can't move in space. There was a play last night where Wolf - a 7' - put a crossover on him and he fell to the ground. He makes horrible decisions and that's the TOs - which they could perhaps fix. But I bet they bring in 2-3 bigs in the portal this off-season. He can't play 10+ minutes in a bigtime game.

This was a big gripe of mine all the years Cal was at UK. Opponents didn't have much trouble getting wide open looks from 3, which was a big reason he lost to so many mid majors. When you know that's the only way a far smaller and less talented team can beat you, and they still do it, it's a big issue.

Most of the time it's just been lack of communication or a guy just being lazy. The defensive set appears to be there, just relies on really good communication. One poor switch and you give up a wide open shot.

So far, I really only have one gripe with Cal: player intensity. There was a lot of fire last night, but you watch some of these midweek games vs the scrubs and you'd think some of these guys were being held at gunpoint to suit up. Offensive sets look good, defense in spurts has been elite, just a lot of bad decisions and lack of energy in games. You can tell Pope does a really good job getting his guys to focus on the task at hand. It could be Lipscomb or Gonzaga, but at the tip the players intensity is exactly the same. I think that's why you guys are blowing the doors off of the scrubs and we're just winning by like 12 or so.

Covid didn’t just affect Kentucky.

Even if Ark does go .500 in the SEC, are you seriously comparing this SEC to that one?

Actually, it’s you that’s lying, per usual.

Are you seriously doubling down on the lie that you haven’t talked about Calipari much? 🤣 😂

One of the funniest things I’ve ever read here. Holy shit. 😆
Oh, so now you're saying "haven't talked about Calipari much". Then you call me a liar, because I don't agree with your first accusation, which was that I "talk about him every day" (post 297, go look).

See, you cant stop the bullshit.

So tell me, how much is "much"? Yesterday, it was every day, that’s a lie, how much are you claiming it to be now?

I make a comment about Arkansas and Calipari IM A THREAD ABOUT CALIPARI AND ARKANSAS and somehow that means I'm hating. The shit I said was true. Deal with it.

LMAO

You can’t even admit that was a bad take, yet you bumped this expecting someone to admit you were right about something?

I guess if I took the time to go back and read your Tom Clancy novels, there could be an accurate comment in there somewhere.
Why would I admit a true statement is a bad take???

5 NBA talents on the 20/21 roster, are their 5 on this Arkansas roster?

2021 NBA players:
Isaiah Jackson
Brandon Boston
Olivier Sarr
Jacob Toppin
Terrence Clarke

Now, go ahead and name the 5 on this Arkansas roster.
