OSU got schooled against NC but that game and game vs Gonzaga really helped them find the right rotations and work on team chemistry. They are significantly improved since then. Not saying they are better than NC, just that they improved a lot.

At the time, nobody thought the Ohio State/Clemson game would have major implications on tournament seeding. It was a low-key ACC/Big 10 Challenge game. Ohio State tied for 10th in the B1G in 2017 - Clemson finished in 12th in the ACC in 2017. Definitely two of the major surprises this year.

Exactly. Biggest reason we weren't is because of preseason polls. It's definitely weird moving up to #1 after a loss though. Pretty sure that's the first time it's ever happened.

Duke routinely moves up after losses. SmokinSmile It's almost like the voters were waiting for Nova to lose just so they had validation to put UVA ahead of them. I think UVA should have been there for at least the past month or so.

I don't agree with UVA at 1 with the loss on Saturday, but it seems like the AP tried to mimic the selection committee top 16 with a little twist.

I have no issues with UVA being number one. Everyone is losing. UVA looks as good as anyone right now.

UNC just went 3-0 over a 5 day period and now has a little break until Saturday (which will be a tough one) so this week will be a fun no stress time of watching some good basketball for me.

Quite possibly, but it is mid-Feb and Roy has them starting to play closer to potential. These were always going to be tough games but I like our chances to at least split.

I think they keep missing on MTSU. Definitely should be in the T-25. Worst losses are Belmont and Marshall.

Good losses to Auburn by 6, Usc by 5, Miami by 3.
