Also should it be called the champions classic…

How many championships have they won in the last two decades? You can include conference championships if you want to.
So Uconn should be in then over the rest of y’all? Michigan st. Hasn’t even won a title in the last 20 seasons. uK and KU only have a combined 2. So if you want to go by last two decades. It’s UConn, Villanova/Florida, North Carolina, And duke. No?

I’ve wondered where they got Michigan St. as well.

Is it called the National Champions Classic? I must've overlooked that.

I mean this board says every day nothing else matters besides natty’s. So you want to include conference championships? Does anyone have more conference titles the last 20 years than Gonzaga then?

So assuming "this board" does actually say that....did this board name the Champions Classic?

Why? Each program has multiple national championships and many conference championships.

You're saying it's inaccurate to describe them as champions because there have been other champions too? Pretty sound argument.
The name implies it’s taking the best. You can’t leave out a team with 12 national titles,
another with 6 national titles, and another with 5. Especially when you have two programs with only 2 and 3 respectively.

There's also the Sports Classic.

I understand what you're saying, but you have to admit they chose the right 4 teams.

No. Although I would take Bruce for the next 10 seasons over any of the 4 coaches currently coaching in the classic
that's just the honk in you. But seriously You act as those these teams didn't deserve it, or it's been really great parring. They go back and forth and perform constantly.

I think an argument could be made for 3 of them if you look at just the last 20 years. Unc should be in over Michigan st. But they are only left out because duke is in and they already play twice a year.

So you've answered your own question for one of them. Good job.

Now maybe consider this: all of the coaches involved have won titles at the current school, plus a lot of conference titles and overall games. You might have noticed that John Wooden doesn't coach at UCLA anymore and Bobby Knight doesn't coach at Indiana anymore. If they were, I'm betting they'd be involved.

Villanova has a strong argument to now be in. Gonzaga would be they probably need to win at least one title first. I just take issue with the big 10. They have won 1 natty in the last 34 seasons.
No doubt BIG sucks donkey balls, but I'm not a fan of "johnny come latelys" in the Champions Classic.

I would be ok with teams rotating CBS Sports Classic.

It don't have to be UK, UCLA, OSU, and UNC. Cal basically created it, so UK will stay, but the others can rotate except UNC.

UK and UNC has to have some sort of OOC game

But the other arguement was what have you done lately. Which was the knock on UCLA. UCLA is the bluest of blue bloods. Also Villanova isn’t exactly a johny come lately. They have the same amount of natty’s as Kansas and more than michigan st.

So will duke be kicked out next year? Since john Scheyer has not won a thing?

I feel like you're not grasping what I'm saying.

I can see from an outsider it sucks seeing the same teams play in, which are the same teams been cramed down your throat all your life come March.

These 4 teams are who ppl come to see. Mich St. was part of the largest crowd ever for a NCAA game.

No. I want the “champions” term actually applied. I am wanting term held to an actual higher standard.

But they are all champions. What do you mean?

Nike uniforms are different for champions. Do you know the difference between ours and others?

It's one little thing.

btw, I like when you troll me. I've been gone a few day dealing with shit so it's nice to have someone wanting to keep me going.

I think it's fine the way it is. We have records to compare with each other and that's it. I have no problem with others coming up with their own tournaments. If they can.

They aren’t the top champions though. Kansas and UCLA don’t wear Nike. Wtf are you talking about

No. I think it should be revolving and updated. UConn is ahead of Kansas and mich. st.
Other than interest, what's stopping them from starting a tournament?

Point being, it goes back to interest. You say "someone else", but you've not named someone else.

Kind of a silly name for sure but it is still four great programs.

It would be fun if we got UNC in it. All respect to MSU, and every year they are tough as sh*t to beat, but nothing beats true BB matchups. For some reason, games with KU/UK/UNC/DUKE are must see-----irregardless if MSU/IU/UCLA are better in any given year. My personal opinion of course

Mich St. does the worst losing record. (UK 2nd worst losing record).
