The basketball team might have to do the heavy lifting for the school if FB takes a nosedive.
Nate Oats accomplishments this season are beyond impressive. They have a completely rebuilt roster with like 8 or 9 new players and have made the FF. The bammers can't count past 3, but going this far in undeniably impressive.
All of this without a legitimate big man.
They've been blown out by 20+ points in plenty of games this season.
I also believe that Alabama had a favorable seed and region.
It's been a great ride but this is why I have stayed humble and not acted like most folks OTBs when their team has a little success.
I'm more about building the man a new arena and keeping him in Tuscaloosa than overly celebrating this 1 season.
Really what Oats has done is impressive overall...

Your Vols can beat Purdue as long as the big guy doesn't get favorable treatment like he did when Alabama played them.
Eddy is going to score. The Vols need to make it hard to run their offense and dampen down their guards. Of course we have to hit shots too.
Look for Eddy to hook & hold. He did it the entire game and only got called for it once late in the 3nd half against Alabama.

Sears is their best shooter, but they have two others that are good too. They have a potent offense.
I will admit I have not watched them, I was sort of watching Saturday night but was doing other things and was still pretty wound up from our game.
They have a very good offense and Oats offense is NBA like where it's 3s or at the rim. Clingan being inside makes me wonder if that'll change. Sears is a monster. Not far off the 50/40/90 club on high volume.
Sears is the best of course but Wrightsell and Griffen are also good 3 point shooters Griffen is the best defensive starter with Nelson, Pringle and Stevenson close behind.
