Oooohhh, such a great comeback, BLOCKHEAD. Almost 5th grade level. Your improvement is at a snail's pace, but keep trying. With all of this rain, maybe you’ll float away then.

That must mean the SEC really ****ing sucks.ACC has really gone to shit.
That must mean the SEC really ****ing sucks.
Nahhhh, you obviously missed the fact that the SEC dominated the regular season and positioned themselves to get a record 14 teams into the tourney. Meanwhile, the poor old ACC had a crappy regular season, barely got 4 teams into the tourney and old well, just another season of placing a team in the FF and possibly winning the whole damn tourna.... wait, haven't we seen this before? Poor old ACC measuring their bball success with tourney FF and chips. I wish there was a better metric than regular season success. That must mean the SEC really ****ing sucks.

You think you are smart. That is obvious. And to come full circle...
As I stated numerous times in this thread, Duke faced no adversity playing in the ACC. None. And that was on full display last night down the stretch. The coach and the players all had deer in the headlight looks on their faces as the game kept getting closer and closer. Scheyer looked clueless (then again he always looks like that).
That's precisely what happens when you go virtually three months blowing out every team by 20 plus points because they provide no challenge. Came back to bite Duke big time last night.
Oh, and the fact that Scheyer is their coach. The dude can't coach his way out of a paper bag. He is Hubert Davis except with more talent.
And to come full circle...

lol you’re still on this? I’m no duke fan and had Houston winning last night, but come on. Duke beat the shit out of one of the best teams in the SEC, and prob would’ve beaten Florida too.And to come full circle...

That isn't the point. Duke was one of the best teams in the country this year. No doubt about...but...lol you’re still on this? I’m no duke fan and had Houston winning last night, but come on. Duke beat the shit out of one of the best teams in the SEC, and prob would’ve beaten Florida too.

They were never challenged in the ACC. They could name the score of basically every game.
The question always was going to be how would Duke respond in a tournament game down the stretch when the game was super close or some type of adversity hit, because we never got to see that over the past three months of ACC play.
Well we all got out answer last night, and color me not surprised at how it played out. When a team doesn't get challenged for three months, you had better believe they will more often then that freeze up in tense situations, and that's exactly what happened last night.
That's fine if you don't agree. But it is 100% true. Not even true but go ahead and keep doing you.

The best part is all the talking heads are saying the exact same thing, so it ain't like I am out on some island throwing crap against the wall and hoping it sticks.
No, you are missing the point.2012 you won the title, the SEC wasn't good
2015 you lost the FF game vs Wisconsin, the SEC wasn't good.
With your logic UK lost because the SEC wasn't strong enough but 3 years prior it was.
No, you are missing the point.
Duke wasn't challenged for basically three months. Take the fact that they play in the ACC out of the equation. Who cares what conference it is.
Just look at their results. All blowouts where Duke basically could name the score. No close games. That doesn't help a team navigate a tight game in the tournament when they haven't had an experience like that in three months.
As for 2012 UK, none of their tournament games were close. Not like they had nailbiters like Duke did last night. If they did, who knows what would have happened.
2015 UK lost b/c Cal is an idiot.
We can agree to disagree.I'm not missing your point but I see you're dismissing mine.
Those talking heads you speak of are basically just like you and me, not all of them know what they're talking about.
Villanova won the title 2016 and 2018, I don't think the Big East was top conference in any of those years.
We can agree to disagree.
Although we can both agree that it was fantastic watching Duke crap their pants.
Dude. Houston is one of the best teams in the NCAA if not the best, and have without a doubt the best defense. This has nothing to do with the strength of the ACC. If that were the case they would’ve lost second round. However, they lost by a field goal in an all out battle. If Florida doesn’t win the ship, what does that say about the SEC? That’ll be back to back years with 23 teams making the field and not a single winner. Coupled with the fact they haven’t seen a champion in a decade and a half. That screams overrated. That isn't the point. Duke was one of the best teams in the country this year. No doubt about...but...

Playing a physical team day in and day out might sharpens you, but it wears you down too. Also, Duke and Houston were tested plenty, both teams are great teams. It is a silly argument.Dude. Yeah, I never said anything remotely close to what you just said.I gave him a couple of examples but he still doesn’t see it.
In his mind whoever wins the title will come from the the top rated conference
and in the past that hasn’t always happened.
No one said Houston wasn't one of the best teams. Again, that is not the point.
Forget about the fact that Duke played in the ACC. Put them in the SEC and imagine they role through the SEC at 19-1 and win every game by 20 plus points, just like they did in the ACC. My point would still stand, namely that Duke was never challenged and never had to play in tight games down the stretch. They had no experience to draw upon during Saturday night's game.
And again, this isn't just me saying it, virtually every single college basketball analyst is saying the exact same thing. Like exactly the same thing.
As for tonight, I hope Houston wins. I couldn't care less about UF.
You are making this about the conferences, I am not.
Yeah, I never said anything remotely close to what you just said.
Like anything, at all.
I have never once implied that at all.You were implying that dude.
LOL you are the only one mentioning conferences! Take some accountability for once in your life. You literally said Duke lost on account of the ACC being so weak and them not playing enough quality teams, which was proven false. No one said Houston wasn't one of the best teams. Again, that is not the point.

My goodness, you guys must not know how to read. I have clearly said multiple times to take the ACC out of it. Have you not read that twice now?
My argument is that Duke was never tested because all their games were blowouts in the past three months. That includes, wait for it, Illinois, a non ACC team.
I clearly said put Duke in the SEC with the same 20 point blowout results, and my point still stands.
Geez.
Dude cries about the ACC and then says he's not talking about conferences? Fantasy land must be an interesting place to live. You were implying that dude.
LOL you are the only one mentioning conferences! Take some accountability for once in your life. You literally said Duke lost on account of the ACC being so weak and them not playing enough quality teams, which was proven false.
This.Your last sentence is baffling to me. You said you're not making it about conferences but you're quoting and agreeing with the talking heads in the media that do.
I brought up UK and Villanova and you dismissed that.
Conference strength is good for seeding and the number teams that get in the tournament.
duke lost that game because of coaching and IMO the pressure was to great for them, not because the ACC was trash.
Makes me wanna barf that I am defending Duke, but they had 4 losses on the year for a combined total of 15 points. Wins over Auburn, Alabama, Arizona (2x), Louisville (2x), Baylor, and Illinois. Then lost by 3 to possibly the best team in the league in the final seconds of the game. Watch basketball, and stop listening so much to media heads.
Complete chicken shit if you ask me.I have some family members that hadn't returned my texts/calls, they know what's coming.
He want's to get technical by saying he never made those comments but he agree's with them, how chicken shit is that?
