I would like to make a few points on this conference honking thing, because there is a fine line between conference honking and someone just feeling vindicated by seeing teams they played, beat someone really good.
Point 1, if UK loses @ Georgia, you're damn right I want to see UGA go and beat good teams from another conference and within the SEC, it makes me, as a UK fan, feel better about the loss.
Point 2, UK swept Tennessee, I certainly don't want to see UT turn around and get smoked by a middling team from another conference. No, I want Tennessee to prove they are a good team, it makes UK's wins look great.
Point 3, Clemson beat UK in Little John arena, it sucked, we looked like ass. But you better believe I wanted Clemson to do the same to Duke and they did. I celebrated a little. Does that make me a Clemson honker? No, I just wanted to see Clemson do it to someone else.
Point 4, it's definitely a shot to the old ego when your team battled in a tough conference for 3 months, thinking the competition was crazy good, only to see everyone in the conference get in the tournament and lose. It kinda means you really weren't all that good.

I can guarantee you, if UK was the last team standing, there is no fan of a single SEC school, that will want to see UK win.
If Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, or Alabama was the last SEC team standing, it would come down to who they were playing. While I don't want them to win, if any of them are playing duke, unc, ucla, ku, or uconn, I will pull for the SEC team. That’s not conference honking, that’s just me not wanting the other blue bloods to have success.
Same with Louisville, they have fans that suffer from little brother syndrome, they will immediately shove it in the face of UK fans.
Everyone has a rooting interest and it's for different reasons, but for most people, it usually goes back to wanting their own team to look the best it can.
U6ers would do the world a favor if they would just STFU. They got chesty over a load of fool's gold (ACC wins) and now they're all on the couch... watching.

No way man, if GT was playing UK every non UK fan would be cheering for GT of course. This includes all SEC fans too I'd imagine.

We're all college basketball fans and when two teams are playing a game, it is only human nature to side with one of those teams and I find it hard to believe a North Carolina fan would even think about taking UK if they were playing GT in a November game.
