My Grandfather is as UK blue as it gets & he’ll pull for UL because they’re a in state school but holy hell he HATES IU.

I was more or less just giving shit to my brethren ITT. I truly think it boils down to your age and where you live in the state. If you are 40 or younger, you're used to playing U of L and probably hate them most. If older, you might hate a Tennessee or Indiana more I guess. Maybe a Duke.

Last year when I pulled for Dook to beat UK I was told they I’d NEVER see a UK fan pull for UL over anybody.

I won’t pull for Tennessee or Indiana over anyone. I guess it depends where you’re from in the state. Not many Louisville fans in south central Kentucky

I don’t hate UL. I pull for them often. Especially once we get a W over them. It’s counterintuitive to hope they lose at that point.

I pull for UL. Have no problem with it, especially if it benefits UK.

UL winning games, especially against top 10 teams, is good for UK.

Heck, I don't think I hate any program. I hate the NCAA more than anything. They're such a crooked and inconsistent organization. But that's a topic for a different thread.

What a lot of people don't understand is, their hate is based on the fact that the team they hate, beat their favorite team. So many people hate a program because they're more successful than they want them to be. It makes no sense.

UK fans hate duke because the Laettner shot happened. I get hating the loss, but you can't hate the whole program because they won a game.

Heck, I'm a Chicago Bears fan, but I'm also a big Aaron Rodgers fan and will be pulling for Green Bay in the playoffs. Hating them would mean I'm pissed because they keep beating the Bears. Makes no sense.

Also, why would I hate Louisville? UK has owned them, it makes no sense to hate them. Even if it was the other way around, I can't just hate Louisville, I'd just say UK needs to change something and do better.

On the opposite end I don’t pull for uk to win ever, not before cal/uk started owning us not after his lifetime contract is up.

And yes I know cal is not the only UK coach to own us but he’s gotta have the best percentage. If not the all time record would be like 50-5 instead of 35-20 or whatever it is

To each their own. There's ppl born and raised by honest, hard working UK fans and they turn their back on their parents and grand parents and root for UNC.

I'd put UK fans that root for UL over those types all day every day.

Just between us, I've never rooted for UL. I hope Duke, UNC, UT, IU, etc smashes them.

If you root for Duke that's on you. We all know who you hate the most although most UNC fans disagree with your priorities.
