U are ignorant on this. He is a POS. theres a reason only family is caddying for him. And who greeted him after the round? Bubba, who is a bigger POS and a pariah on tour. Good for each other.
Having said all that. He deserved to win and showed balls down the stretch. Played great and putted the best of anyone in the field, by far. He earned it and didnt wilt when they gunned for him.
Rory certainly talked too much and then didnt back it up. Hes not some cute kid anymore. Hes trying to go down the Tiger path.....
Painter was alleged to have had an affair. Which allegedly led to his divorce. So just asking where on the totem poll of "pieces of shit" does he fall?
I don't root for Tiger (though have warmed up to him a little laterly). By and large golf fans, and certainly fans that attend events, pull for Tiger and Phil hard. It is almost unanimous at the events.
So there's no proof that it actually happened? Ok? Only an IU fan would turn a Patrick Reed discussion into something about Matt Painter. You guys are obsessed.

Where is the proof that Reed actually stole money? Where is the proof he actually cheated? Same as Painter situation------Alleged accusations. I was hoping you would say this. It's exactly why I referenced Painter. His actions were alleged. Just as Reeds were. Yet you are OK with crucifying Reed. But give Painter a pass.

It's hearsay. How do you not know he didn't mistakenly try and hit the wrong ball? Did he admit to it? Did he say, "you know what, I was young and stupid back then. Made a terrible mistake"? Nope. Just some college teammates, who for all you know, may have had some animosity toward him, saying he did. Were you there? Its hearsay. Or in other words, an ALLEGED act.

Sure, enough allegations, enough smoke (he actually got his parents and sister escorted by police off the grounds of a tournament several years back) for me to not like the guy. Not sure why you are losing your mind over this. There are plenty of people who don't like him. Much of the coverage following his victory was on his past, why he doesn't have friends on tour, etc.

I friend of mine works for PGA Network. Says Reed is awful. Just a straight up d-bag to everyone. He has also completely shut out his family from his life and refuses to let his parents see their grandkids (mind you, his parents are not criminals or monsters). Basically his wife started a bunch of drama and won't let Reed's family be in their life.
Buddy said Reed, Bubba, and Poulter are by far the worst people on tour in terms of how they treat others.
I think Reed being kicked out of UGA tells you all you need to know about whether or not he stole from teammates. People do lots of dumb things. Stealing from your teammates is not "dumb," it's a massive red flag.
35 and 15-20 winds Sunday morning for the start of my round. It’s just dumb that we feel like that’s fun....but it is. I still can’t believe Fowler hasn’t won a major or a few more. I think once he does though, it’s going to be more than one. It took Lefty a while but he has five now. Fowler has everything you need. Minus being too aggressive at times he has no weaknesses.
That’s funny, I always root for Tiger and never really cared for Phil to much. That’s changed in regards to Phil. Started with him taking his very public stance in the Ryder Cup.
I happily root for Patrick Reed when he plays in team competitions and what he did in his profession this past week was pretty remarkable. We’ve seen Rory, Spieth, Greg Norman and many others fold at Augusta. Not Reed. As a golfer myself, I can’t help but give him a ton of respect.
