The no man’s land that is 14 between Auburn and Kentucky is interesting, too

MSU lost two close games (one without a starting wing) and has some decent wins. At Florida (#16 Kenpom) is probably the best, but Iowa and Texas hot off their win against UNC were pretty good too. No great win, but some good ones.

I think the fact that some of the cupcakes we’ve played have been 100-250 instead of 250+ and still blown them out has helped us in rankings like Kenpom and such. Like Northern Illinois and Green Bay.

The cupcake issue makes a huge difference. Avoiding the worst of the worst is how the old MVC had all those high RPI teams in the early 2000s, and how the big conferences tell their teams to operate; if all a conferences teams avoid cupcakes and keep SOS up, then when they beat each other up it creates an uplifting effect.

Good for a laugh I guess, the #7 team has beaten 20% of this top 25 already, thats 5 out of 25 for slow mathers...

It will take them 3 years at least to change this ridiculous "won by amount" stat, that is after the 2 years it takes the NCAA to select a new committee..

KU is 15th in the NET. If they were 10 they'd be #4. If they were 5 they'd be #3.
