I wouldn’t consider Hollomon, MSU’s bigs, or some of the guys who had multiple steals to be overly athletic compared to some other teams Smith has dominated. He shot the ball well still and had 8 assists. The turnovers were just killer unnecessarily forcing things. MSU has the bodies and transition offense to make you pay on the scoreboard and wear you down in transition if you’re not deep. As a turnover prone UM team that lacks depth I am also worried about that.

Still to put up that stat line and have them in a 1 possession game at the end if not for the Hiede “moving screen” on an off night is impressive to me. MSU is a very legit defensive team.
