WVU outplayed them all game long. They bullied a normally physically tough TTU team on both ends of the floor.
Cut dead weight about a month ago which lead to a minor turnaround that is coming to a head right now. We will have a solid squad next year
I still have a soft spot for Huggy Bear. I consider him at least 50% responsible for the K State basketball resurgence. Event in just one season he managed to make a K-State a good job again
We finally have a starting 5 that completely buys in to the Huggins way. With that said, we probably lose by 10+ tomorrow no matter if it's Texas or Kansas.

Esa Ahmad and Wes Harris. Harris had an attitude problem, Esa a work ethic and weed problem, things magically looked a lot rosier when they were gone. Similar to when Eron Harris and Terry Henderson the best players from a 2014 NIT team transferred out and we were suddenly back in the top 25 shortly into the next season and stayed for 4 years.

We were 10 and 6 in league play. That would certainly get you into the tournament you're in the Big 12 these days. But it had also been a decade since we had made an appearance in the NCAA tournament

They beat us in a tight game for their first ever win in Morgantown and they celebrated in the locker room like they just made the Final Four. Never mind we just had an OOC run where we lost to URI, WKU, and Buffalo and the game was basically only close because Culver missed 20 mins due to foul trouble.
Was just one of those “I’ll remember that” moments for Huggs and tonight we paid it back.
Who cares how they celebrated in the locker room?

It was a January game against a program in obvious decline that was only close because of their incompetence... it’s wasn’t the disrespect so much as the “wtf”. We’ve won plenty of times in Lubbock and before Beard it was business as usual.

It wasnt some historic streak that was snapped, we were an awful team, the WVU Coliseum is not exactly AFH, or Cameron Indoor. I just don’t get why it was such a big deal to win that game.

That's because you haven't been as bad as we have been in a long time. We are on a two year run unlike anything in our history. We are doing things we have never done before. When someone says act like you've been there before, well we haven't lol. Beard is making us into a true contender and we are in all kinds of new territory.
