No Bama fan thought that. Many thought this was our best offense in decades but no one thought our defense was that great. Bama was outstanding on one side of the ball while Clemson was outstanding on both sides of the ball. That Bama lost to Clemson was not a surprise for many of us. However, the magnitude of the loss was surprising. Congrats but that doesn't mean Dabo will win five more or even 1 more for that matter.

Ha ha. There are 100 videos out there. Greatest team ever. And, yes, that story changed after that defeat to: we had a suspect defense, we were tired due to grueling SEC schedule, we had to much coach turnover, we were unlucky and just couldn’t score in the red zone,Clemson just threw 50/50 balls against us and got lucky, they were doing copy cat stuff we weren’t prepared for, that Alabama team didn’t have the Alabama factor, etc. so, just one game, but that one game completely changed the perception of that team. They went from greatest team ever to a whiny excuse laden group with a suspect defense that didn’t have the will to win. Don’t sweat it. Clemson has that effect on teams. It’s a glorious time to be a tiger.

You do know Bama and Clemson are 2-2 over the past four meetings? So hilarious to watch some of you boys not used to success go crazy because of one game. I would say act like you have been here before but I can't because you haven't been here before so I guess some amount of delusion is expected.

Since we are current national champions, and have won two out the last 3 (and 3 overall), I’d say we‘ve done ok. I understand that Bama claims a lot more NCs, but hey, we do what we can. Since we did have a couple of other undefeated seasons I guess using Bama logic, we could claim 5. Is that still new money?

Yeah , When you saw the best team ever get golly -whomped running a fake field goal , You knew Dabo had complete control .
Just two minutes into the second quarter was the last 3 points little nicky would get . Who held the best team ever scoreless for three quarters
of a Championship game . Clemson did . Who couldn't score with first and goal on the one , ,twice turned back with nothing ,

You better work on that fake FG .

That is a fact.... assuming an employee has marketable skills and Swinney certainly has shown that...

Using "Bama logic" Clemson has 3 national titles. Alabama only claims titles awarded to it. That's happened 22 times and Alabama claims 17 of them.

Was Clemson awarded a national title for those other seasons you mention? All titles claimed by Alabama result from major selectors, AP polls, Coaches' Poll, BCS or Playoffs.

Clemson won the major awards in 1981, 2016, and 2018. I cannot find any other Clemson team being awarded a title by any poll, selector, or otherwise in any other year.

Is there one or two more I am unaware of?

Dabo knows good and damn well that he can’t coach in the pros. His greatest skill by far is accumulating a lot of talent. You can say the same thing about a lot of college coaches.

This is so ridiculous. Aren’t you tired of other schools making fun of you. Every ranking before 1936 Bama is using was retroactively awarded. Sure, Clemson could go back and award itself retroactive titles like Alabama has, but it’s just stupid, so we have not.

‘25, ‘26, ‘30 and ‘34 Alabama retrospectively claimed titles, however, at the time better teams were undefeated. In many cases more made up “services” have retrospectively claimed teams other than Alabama were champions. What’s really funny is that for ‘30 Notre Dame was unanimously ranked as #1 by a current service. That didn’t stop Bama’s from retroactively giving itself the award years later. In ‘34, Minnesota was clearly the better team and has even been unanimously (and retrospectively) ranked by the NCAA as #1, but Bama still claims itself as self appointed champions. Ridiculous.

However, the biggest lunatic position is ‘41 where Bama was shut out twice and was ranked 20th in the AP poll (yes, 20th), yet it still claims itself champion, well because a Bama insider selector says so. This was done by the same Bama insider selector that made the retroactive claims for the pre-1936 championships. That’s great. Name yourself champions no matter how many games you lose.

In 1964, Bama was awarded the championship before it played its bowl game, which it lost (sound familiar ... best team ever etc.). Arkansas was undefeated that year and clearly was #1. That definitely needs to be retroactively fixed, don’t you think? Were is that Bama retroactive selector when you need him? In 1973, the same thing, but worse. Bama was awarded the title prior to its bowl game, which it lost to Notre Dame that was undefeated. Notre Dame was named champion by the AP and every other poll but the UPI. The UPI still put out its ranking before the bowl game so, yep, Bama claims a championship even though it was defeated by the champion. I guess using this logic Bama could claim a 2018 championship. Come to think of it, Clemson could claim a 2015 championship as well. Aren’t you embarrassed by this? At least everyone else knows who the true champions were. I’m laughing at the Bama claim. It’s worse than UCF.

In all, half of Bama’s Claimed titles are disputed. If Clemson wanted to, it could retroactively claim titles anytime, by just doing it. We could even set up a selector, just like Bama, or set up our own post-championship poll. We simply choose not to do so because it’s stupid.

It would be more interesting for this board if he left Clemson for USC.
