Won the SEC by 3 games just 4 years ago, tied for 2nd last year. Nobody is going to dominate the SEC anymore, but don't act like UK was the only program trying for 100 years.

UK put effort into thrir basketball program, because they were successful, it's your programs fault for not getting better players. Back in the day, it wasn't about money like it is right now, so your excuse is lame.

This! Cal for whatever reason wasn’t crazy about playing in early season tourneys. UK fans have been wanting to go back to Maui for years but he wouldn’t do it. I think all that changes under Pope.
Cal probably wanted all the new faces on the team to jell before throwing them to the lions. However, now that you can get experienced transfers in addition to super newbies the team starts out in a more experienced position.
I get that but as a UK fan it sucked. I love seeing UK in the Maui. Prolly my favorite pre-season tournament. Play a couple of exhibitions and then one or two sub par teams and then head to Maui or whatever tourney it is and see where your team stands.

I like playing in those big Tourneys too. It's fun even if you get beat. I watched bama/Houston yesterday and it was some great CBB.
