Who wins it all this year?

never said UK wasa piddly little SEC school----i said they plyed in a shit conference that afforded them the luxury of easily making the NCAAT.
And afforded them the luxury of easily beating up on the Big 10 in the tournament too, apparently.

I reckon.....In thier title years of 48, 49, 51 and 58, they played 2 B1o teams---both Illinois. Won 76-47, and 76-74. During that same era, they also lost to MSU, 80-68 in 1957 Regional final....1956 lost to Iowa 88-77 in Regional Final... 1945 lost to Ohio St, 45-37 in 1st round....1942 beat illinois, 46-44 1st round....

24 teams......lost to Ohio State 87-74 regional final... lost to Ohio State again, 74-64 regional final..1968 losto, yep Ohio State again, 82-81....1973 lost to Indiana, 72-65 regional final....

Sooooooooooooooo......before the NCAA started allowin non-conference wiiners, UK played the Big 10 , 10 times-----they went 3-7. One blowout win---76-47 over Illinois. Only other win was a 2 point squeaker over Illinois. After that? 7 straight losses.

I mean if thats your definition of easily beating up on the Big 10, then sure---they did...

Let me guess though---you were only talking about the title winnin years? If so, well you were half right,,, 🤣

Yet since the NCAA tournament began in 1939 the mighty Big 10 has 10 titles (none since 2000 and 7 prior to the modern era) and the lowly SEC has 11 (5 prior to the modern era). Odd that such a superior conference would have fewer titles and won the majority of them when it was the YMCA league.

I think Gonzaga finally gets over the hump. We get the feeling Timme’s run this year will remind me of Hansbrough in 2009. Zags win the title when Timme takes more a 2nd or 3rd best player on the team role.

I’m jealous of your ability to be content with consolations.
It's not all peaches and cream kicking y'all's ass all the time now. It takes more ink to print a W than an L, so there is that added expense during these hard economic times.
