they clearly ignore the northern states and cater to the southern and western states,
Iowa has already cancelled 3 games and it looks like the 4 game series with Cal State Fullerton. because of snow. they are close to cancelling 19 games before they will be able to play. this after cancelling 9 in conference games..

Y'all just need to schedule away games for the 1st month and fill in mid-week games with area teams during conference play.

No way of changing scheduling the Supers and World Series are already being played deep into summer.

each year the schedules change so it would not be that hard to move the starting time until April. just what is the conflict to keep from doing that? nobodies uses the Baseball fields, players playing 2 sports. not going to change although BB players that will play Baseball has well will be able to join the team with very little lost time to cross over,

FB players will miss some spring training [which they already do] Baseball is in a unique situation as it does not interfer with most sports.

or if they waited till March 15th then the Northern team could like they already do now is schedule to play in play in states like Florida, Texas and even Hawaii, Iowa played 3 games in Florida and 4 games in Hawaii, maybe they should have played Cal State Fullerton in California, they even played @ Oklahoma State,

but not all northern team have that option, so the only real option is to push the starting date ahead to the middle of March or the same day as the Majors do.

Not sure what else your team can do at this point. College baseball as a whole has expanded over the last ten years. I will agree that most warm weather teams do have an advantage in baseball and softball.

build a indoor stadium that would even allow Iowa to host a early season tourney, call it the Snow Storm event. [RollLaugh] seriously if its built right the U of Iowa could bid to host a regional, not sure how big stadiums are at the College level, but to me they could make able to seat 12,000+ fans
5,000 in the grand stand 2500 down the RF line and LF line. and 2,000 in the outfield. the outfield seats can be covered during the regular season.

the regional hosts 4 teams so that gives them plenty of seats for the fans of each team.

Iowa has been able to make up one of the games because Iowa is going thru a heat wave of 32-35 degrees and they got the field cleared, right now they are 4-0 at home. it is going to be real scorcher next week as they are predicting 45-50 degree weather, Laughing:p
