I would have to say Bama vs LSU, these games are hyped up every year, but since 2012 Bama has owned LSU.

This century OSU is 16-2 against Michigan whereas LSU is 8-10. Pretty obvious which one it is.

Bedlam if strictly about overall record. Bama LSU is roughly 55-25(?). Bedlam something like 87-16(?).

Bama LSU played to a scoreless tie thru 3 quarters yr before last..an OT game very recently. LSU held two nat'l titles in the 2000s?.beat Bama in 2011 going undefeated to the title game..please.

Indeterminate. To the fans of the rival teams involved it is heated warfare. To the unconcerned fan outside the matrix it's of no significance

It's about right now, not the last 20 years. Even though OSU has won, Michigan has been largely competitive recently. LSU not so much.

Have you even watched Alabama/LSU? You do know OSU has won 7 in a row and 9 of the last 10. Easily OSU/Michigan.

Others don't seem to think so. LSU hasn't been competitive in the last 4 games at all, only scoring 26 total points. The 2012 contest (21-17) and 2014 contest (20-13 in OT) are the only 2 competitive games in the past 7 seasons. At least Michigan has made it interesting and been a challenge for OSU in the last 7 years. That's why Bama-LSU is more overrated right now.

Mostly due to bad QB play by LSU, these games are one sided.

Sorry, a series where one team has only beaten the other team twice in 18 years isn’t a rivalry.

I've always thought ga/uf was overrated. They both have more intense rivals and from the outside it seems they don't really seem to care about the wloct or whatever other than the week it's played.

If right now means this very minute, or the last 12 mos. then I can see LSU Bama being an ok answer. It's been quite competitive the last several years.

I will admit that I did not know that there was an Iowa-Nebraska rivalry. There seems to be a rivalry between their fans on this board, but I'm not sure that it extends to the 'real world'. Maybe it does?

It isn't overrated if a rivarly is highly thought of by a large group of people.

    This is all subjective.

A fan of a team from the SEC isn't going to care about Nebraska/Iowa or think it is important.
But in Omaha it probably is.
For example Iowa/Nebraska doesn't really get any buzz from a national perspective so there is no way that rivarly is overrated.

Says the guy whose team hung 62 on his "rival" team last year?

    Compare:

Last time Alabama hung 60+ on LSU--never
Last time OH St hung 60+ on MI--2018

Last time Alabama hung 50+ on LSU--never
Last time OH St hung 50+ on UM--2018

Last time Alabama hung 42+ points on LSU--1925
Last time OH St hung 42+ points on MI--2015

    Last 10 games: Alabama 8, LSU 2
Last 10 games: OH St 9, MI 1 (on the field)

Avg Score Last 10 games: OH St 36.7 - MI 24.6
Avg Score Last 10 games: Alabama 22.1 LSU 11

    Clemson vs The Coots.

Not much of a rivarly anymore. More like a humiliation.

You'd have been correct before Saban arrived at LSU and then at Alabama in 2007. It's been one tough game and intense rivalry since then. Also, for the last 10 years, it has easily collectively showcased the most NFL talent compared to any other rivalry.

I'm not sure if UGA has a more intense rivalry than Florida, although Auburn comes close. Of course it all depends on who you ask. Somebody in downtown Atlanta might say that GT is our biggest rival, somebody from Columbus might name Auburn, and somebody from Waycross might say Florida.

Also, back in the 80's you could have put Clemson on this list, giving UGA four major rivals.

Do you not know what right now means? Bringing up 10-20 years ago is completely irrelevant.

Also thanks for using THE most useless statistics ever. Bama/LSU hasn't been competitive going on 5 seasons now and I doubt that's going to change this year.

Apparently, it is YOU who has no idea of "...what right now means." Ohio State just hung 62 points on its "rival," as in this past season, the last time the teams played, and it's the most points Ohio State has scored on Michigan since 1897. You cannot get more "right now" than the last time the teams played.

Despite the lopsided games lately, tOSU and UM is REAL hate that dates back over a century. Both are blue bloods and though UM has been a little subpar lately, they’re pulling out all the stops to field an NC contender year in and year out. Arguably the best rivalry in all of CFB! I’m an SEC guy but c’maahn!! Dem Yankees hate each other!!
