Why schedule a game against an FCS school when you can just schedule a game against a lower tier CUSA, MAC, Mountain West, or Sun Belt school just like you've been doing all along??? It's not like USC is struggling with the teams they've been scheduling. They've been blowing them out as planned!

How do you mess up USC? You can be a bad coach and still win 8-10 games a year easily. If you can't win at USC you have to be the worst coach in America.

Their administration is a dumpster fire. Unreal how 10 years ago they were still projecting up in Football and Basketball and now the school as a whole is a mess.

These schools could use a payday once every four years to keep their programs afloat. Plus, they are full of California kids who would live a dream of "playing in the Big House.

    • California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)
    • California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State)
    • University of San Diego
    • University of California, Davis (UC Davis)
    Signed: Clemson and SCar

A little off-topic, but USC vs. USCw would be a good matchup. Played them in the 80's last, I believe.

    Interesting quote from the article:

"Moreover, the SEC has made the most of extra home games against lesser opposition, ensuring extra wins thanks to their eight-game conference schedule and cupcake scheduling."

In 2016, Alabama played FCS opponent Chattanooga and won 31-3.
In 2016, Alabama also played USC. Alabama won 52-6.

Which was the cupcake and the lesser opposition?

Yup. Those SEC teams have it easy. For Example, USC EAST, schedules an FCS every year. Deplorable!.

It doesn't matter that they play Clemson, Alabama, Georgia and probably has a tougher schedule than anybody in the PAC except Stanford.

(Admittedly, it really sucks when an FCS school beats you.)

I'd much rather be at the Coli on a September evening watching UCF play USC vs sitting in 99% humidity vs FAMU

I can understand scheduling and FCS if you're going to give your team time to heal from a brutal schedule in the SEC. What I don't get it why schedule an FCS team if you're not going to position that team in a part of your schedule that will benefit you the most, like Alabama and Auburn do.

I agree. UCF welcomes home and home series with good programs.

Higher chance SC plays UCF. I don't see them dropping their 11 P5 1 Mid Major format.Reign Of Troy is one of the least reliable SC sites. Not even the first time they've run this click bait piece. Last time ROT ran this article it was an April fools joke.....Would love to see USC/UCF tho my UCFriend
