Updated Rothstein Top 45 (2021-2022)

Correction. UK won't be playing UNC.

"Kentucky and North Carolina were originally scheduled to play at this year’s event opposite other CBS regulars Ohio State and UCLA, but those were the pairings last season due to a late switch in scheduling for COVID reasons. So to avoid a repeat, new matchups will be played this upcoming season, pairing Kentucky and Ohio State in the second game of the doubleheader, following UNC-UCLA."

Just a casual fan trying to make a list. “Two, it will be an adjustment to go from a bunch of veteran, experienced upperclassmen to a bunch of inexperienced freshmen.”

We are starting
PG Senior
SG 5th year senior
SF Freshman (#6 overall)
PF Senior
C Sophomore (All-American)
He called out the Michigan shooting, is he right about that or just throwing sh!t against a wall?

We killed it in the transfer portal bringing in Walker Kessler, KD Johnson from UGA, Freshman AA PG Wendell Green, All CAA Guard Zep Jasper from College of Charleston etc to go along with Jabari Smith. Plus Allen Flanagan, Jaylin Williams, Devan Cambridge etc return.

While we did lose Cooper to the NBA, he really only played in about 18 games missing the first half and then the final games down the stretch. So while losing him sucks, we never really had enough of him to make a difference last year. Also, he was our only PG last year and now we have 3 in Green, Jasper, and KD Johnson meaning we are stronger in that area than last year.

Easily our deepest team in the Bruce era and we are thankfully getting back to a lineup with all 5 guys as three point threats and stretching the floor way we did 2017-2020.

The SEC is extremely deep though with UK, Arkansas, UT, Miss State etc. Gonna be an awesome year....
Yeah that is 3 nice transfers. Pearl runs a fun system to play in they will probably have some great games and some trash games. Upside is there.

Shooting will be a question mark but Caleb Houstan is considered the best (or one of the best) shooters in the freshman class. What we lose in shooting we should make up for in transition IMO.

Still think Gonzaga/Texas game will be 1 vs 2

Heard this from some knowledgeable people.

With Carr and I guess Andy would have Texas over Gonzaga already
But I rather get that on he court. Don’t play UCLA though. They could actually be ranked #1 or #2

Oregon getting a lot more love lately. I know they have Bittle coming in and the Oklahoma guard. Anyone else?

Houston is struggling to shoot the ball for Team Canada this week. He's going to need to do a lot better than this for Michigan in order to be relied upon as a shooter.

Shooting is all based on shot selection
I haven’t met too many 18 year olds who understand shot selection
There are ones who can get to the bucket because of skIll but when not throw up contested 28 foot shots.

There are a few when they can get good open looks knock down that shot.
But getting those looks are based on the team as well

Lol

In the Big 12 Oklahoma State is being undervalued.
I would have them closer to 15-20

I have explained on here before the reason why. Isaac Likekele.

If there is a team that makes Big 12 have a Top 4 it would be Oklahoma State

I don’t see a Top 15 team with Tx Tech, OU nor WVU.

In my biased opinion louisville will be better than ND and crack the top 45fml

We will prob be the first team out again, hopefully i guess idk. Too many players ive never seen play much. But most every team is like that this year.

In NJ for a wedding. Put down futures bet on Purdue, KU, UK, Duke, and UNC. Also IU, but that was placed for a delusional friend.

Went hard on the blue bloods hope ucla dont get offended and win it all 😂

He shot over 40% from 3 on a huge sample size while playing at Montverde against a top schedule. Nobody is concerned about his shooting ability.

Over Half the teams in a Power 36 poll aren’t Sweet 16 level teams
Who cares if they put you at 23 or 24

The entire Tech BBall program is very sensitive right now. Even the players.

😂
It’s a list of 36 teams, that means 20 of them aren’t going to make the Sweet 16…

Next time your gonna tell us they shouldn’t rank 25 teams because most won’t make the Elite 8.

Cal didn’t want any part of Hubert because he knew what was coming. TBH I was looking forward to this game as I always do when we play UK.
Same here. I don't really understand the scheduling of the CBS Sports Classic. In the past 4 years UNC has played UK twice and will have played UCLA twice as of this year. They haven't played OSU since 2017. Same for UK except they haven't played UCLA since 2017.

He didn’t have us in his top 40 just like your full time propagandist Goodman. When we land Obanor and or Shackleford I’ll be back. Doubt a dude like you will ever give the architect credit until he beats your ass, which is coming.

Great.

Give credit? You are the one who is acting like it was one person who changed your basketball program.

Hopefully Tech is a decent team. I don’t particularly care where they are this season.
More than that this would be absolutely stupid to make this season about Beard vs Adams

Not propaganda
From unbiased people

Texas has an elite team.
You have players like Dylan Disu coming off the bench
Jase Febres can get hot and drop 30 on someone’s head. He is on the bench

You’re running the motion offense , no one is impressed. Obanor just announced his list , you aren’t on there and he’d be the best player on your roster.

Tre Mitchell sealed that when Max Abmas didn’t enter the transfer portal.
I wouldn’t have minded Abmas/Obanor

Regarding the rest. Isiah Small says you are clueless. Because Texas and Tech told him they will use him the same way on the offensive end
Only difference is Texas told him he had to redshirt. He will play for Tech this year.

He is probably the one you will land
Like I said. Obanor most likely going to Arkansas
