Duke isn’t getting sent West. Only way that happens is if they get a 1 seed. And I hope they don’t. I want the 2 in the East.

The Pokes should be in and the Sooners should not. What makes things interesting was that Middle Tennessee State lost in the Conference USA Tourney. That loss may have turned C-USA from a 1 bid into a 2 bid conference.

I approve of your bracket.

NU would welcome that match up.

So, after we kick your ass, you are saying you'd win the next 9 meetings? I'd take that bet.

Not that we would even win the 1st round game because Landale would be a handful, but this would be the best opportunity for us to go as far as possible. I only see us winning 1 game, if any, but if we have aspirations of winning 2 or more, it needs to be Kansas in the 2nd round, as I have stated

I get hat most people kind follow the so called gurus lead here but I am wondering, has the criteria changed once again? Because there is so strange goings on this year with a few teams, mainly N.C. State, Florida St., Providence and St. Bonaventure.

We were told in years past that 22-8 teams in the SEC with a lot of sub 150 victories would nit be considered. Now we have teams doing just the opposite and still being rewarded, not only rewarded, but getting 8 and 9 seeds.

N.C. St. has a 63 RPI yet is being given an 8 or 9 seed on most brackets. At 21-11 and the 265 out of conference schedule they are being rewarded fr scheduling a bunch of nothing teams like, VMI, Bryant, Char. So., Presbyterian, So. Car. St., UMKC, Robert Morris and Jacksonville. They also have three wins over sub 150 Pitt. and vs. wake Forrest twice and lost to G.T.

So the message is now I guess schedule about 8-10 gimmes and go 21-10 or 21-11 and you can get an 8 seed. I for the life of me do nit understand this, how do you know get rewarded for scheduling crap like this?

St. Bonaventure with 3 top 50 wins over Buffalo, Syracuse and Rhode Island. then 50-100 over Maryland, Vermont, Northeastern and Davidson. With 13 SUB 150 Wins, yet they are an 8 seed in most brackets, I don't get it.

Florida St. with 12 Sub 150 wins but most brackets have them as a 9 or 10 seed.

So it seems the criteria has been changed once again. So basically Oklahoma, Bama, Texas and others who scheduled up should have scheduled a few more cupcakes and they wouldn't be on the bubble. I mean 4 easy sub 150 teams and maybe those teams are 8 seeds instead of bubble teams.

The NCAA changes their criteria from year to year it seems to get in who they want to get in. Now to many loses trump sorry schedules.

Agreed. If Carolina & Duke both stay 2 seeds, Duke in the east & UNC out west.
100% agree with both of you. Duke will get the 2 seed in the east while UNC will be out West. I am hoping the committee gives MSU that Midwest 2 seed so they can play in Detroit but who the hell knows.

This is a pretty simplistic argument that completely ignores the obvious. You have to actually win the games that you schedule.

Alabama has ZERO OOC wins against P5 teams with their only decent OOC win being against Rhode Island at home. They lost their last five games of the regular season to finish 9th with a losing record in the SEC. A conference that has received more than five bids only once in the last decade (they got six in 2008). And they will more than likely end their season with 15 losses.

NC State had OOC wins against Penn St at home and Arizona on a neutral court. They finished the regular season winning five of their last six games, and tied for third in the ACC (the conference that has led the country for the most bids over the last decade). They also have road wins against UNC and Syracuse as well as home wins against Duke, Clemson, FSU and Louisville. They aren’t being rewarded for their weak OOC schedule, they’re being punished for it.

I agree, NC State is a lock.

As an MSU fan, I absolutely love this. Get Xavier as 1, and Auburn who has that injured player as 3?
Me too as an MSU fan. However, I have not see Xavier play this year. How would they match up with MSU?

Didn't Bama beat OU?

I think Xavier will hold on to a one seed for winning the Big East regular season title. Providence moves up too a seven seed.

Oh wait, yes it does. Ou is on the last 4 out.

I approve of your bracket.

As someone who lives in Big 12 country and has watched Oklahoma State roughly 10 time this season, I find your take amusing. That's also due in part because I doubt you watched even one single Nebraska game.

The Huskers would give a team like Okie State serious matchup problems. Any team without a dominant physical presence inside is going to struggle to beat Nebraska.

And when you're talking about teams relegated to the Play-In game, it is all about matchups at that point.

Jeffery Carroll trying to guard James Palmer would be hilarious.

North Texas doesn't even know what Kansas pumps out, smh..
It's wheat and Big XII championships, fool

Pretty sure it's in the NCAA bylaws that Duke and UNC must play within the state of NC in the opening rounds.

So it looks like they'll be in Charlotte.

Davidson just stole a bid. Going to be sn interesting selection show.

Honestly, I think it should kick the Bonnies out. They are 69th on KenPom. Get real. That’s not an at large team.

Davidson is actually a top 45 team on KenPom. Best in A-10. Wouldn’t want to face them in the first round.

UVA played Davidson earlier this season. Their offense is incredibly sophisticated and gave our defense a ton of fits.

Aren't play-in games all 11 seeds and 16 seeds now? It's been that way the last 3 years. I don't remember if that's a rule change but I don't think a play-in team has been a 12-seed since 2014

Thats not entirely true, Nebraska barely beat Maryland and we ran a 4 guard The entire night due to injuries.

Uhmmm.. Without Fernando, UM would've been blown out. He went off for 21 and 9.
