Dogshit most of the season. Lost twice by 30 this season. Lost to wake and Tennessee by 20. Lost at home to Pitt. Lost just 3 weeks ago to Va tech by double digits. Now literally no one can rebound or hit shots against them. Crazy turn around.
A team ranked 28-32 going into the tourney looking like they will win national title. While the ncaa tourney is great it’s sad to see regular season shitshow get rewarded. Could you imagine a college football team ranked 28th in the final regular season poll winking the national title?

The tournament isn't about awarding the title to the best team. If it was, we would have playoffs.

In terms of awarding the title to the best team, the NCAA tournament is probably the worst post-season format of the major sports. But that's what makes it so appealing to the masses. People that don't give a single shit about the regular season love Madness.

There are 3 times more basketball teams than football teams. So comparatively that would be like #9 in football competing for a national title. And I think that would be great for parity. Top 10 teams out of 130 or so should be championship caliber. Instead we have a massive massive gap up top.

Absolutely. Any given year in college basketball there are 15 teams that you can say has a legitimate chance if they are hot at the right time and steal a championship. Obviously the top 5 +/- will be most people's guess. But so many variables in a tournament where you need to win 6 games in 3 weeks. As opposed to 2 games in 2 weeks.
