UL got the right punishment
they went to light on Pitino
hopefully nothing until pj hairston is not the only one punished by the ncaa for accepting supersport cameros, drugs, and mouthguards.
Won't happen though. The biggest cheaters in college sports have the ncaa, media, and refs on their side. As a uk fan I'm jealous as heck.
Man who the **** knows at this point. Really if we were following the law of the land the title banner and final four banner would come down - especially with what happened at Thomas Moore
If NCAA doesn't have the balls to do that but still want to use the stick in this lesson then maybe another post season ban?
If UL gets by with Pitino being suspended X number of games in the non conference and a loss of a scholarship or two then the administration should parade in the streets
We will learn a lot about the NCAA today. Both in how they view themselves and their power in the college sports climate. I have no doubt if this happened decades ago UL would be made an example of - but the NCAAs grip is slipping and in terms of self preservation they might be better off not shaking the big money boat of UL and UNC
We will see folks!!!
Today we get to find out whether you can buy your recruits hookers and get away with it. Oh, what a brave new world we live in.
Pitino suspension, time served from last years self imposed sanctions.
I heard that Pitino self-imposed a coaching suspension for both UVA games
And there we have it. You can not, in fact, buy hookers for recruits and get away with it.
WOW..... vacated wins from 2010-2014..... See ya, 2013 title....
Good thing some UL fans told us to make sure we hung that '12 banner up with velcro.
Ouch, really didn't expect all that.
That banner has to be gone. Most of the violations occurred with the 2013 title roster, right?
Pardon my absence today. I will be puking...and banning trolls.
Duke Blue Devils; Your 2013-2014 NCAA Champions
*they were undefeated with Ryan Kelly, so obvs appointment is obvs
NCAA makes a statement. UNC fans are on notice.
apparently UL has 45 days to report which games had ineligible players. Let's see if they're honest... I doubt it. Katina just named a number of players from the 2013 team that were 'participants'.
Katina Powell on KSR just said Smith, Harrell, and Behanan were all involved. Congrats on the most recent vacated title in the state of Kentucky, rocky.
UofL: Irrelevant since 1986.
Kyle Tucker: "15 recruits and 3 enrolled atheletes were involved"
it was 2012-2013.
If they have the balls to take a banner, I'd be looking mighty nervous should I be a Carolina fan.
That's North Carolina ... for now.
because the NCAA doesn't have that information? wtf...
We jump way back ahead of UofL in all time wins.
Thanks, big ben
No problem fake Duke fan.
Gonna be tough to remove. Especially when he's old as Count Dracula and almost as pale.
"No Troll Zone" set up on The Hall.
My second thought. Holy crap, UNC fans should be worried.
Maybe a stupid question, but what makes any given "player from 2010-2014 ineligible?"
One who participated in the parties and thus received impermissible benefits? Or is there an academic probe as well?
Not much explanation in the ESPN article I read.
Yeah this 45 days thing is absurd. The NCAA obviously knows who those players were already.
I feel a little bad for Kentucky fans. The UNC/ref fiasco, and now stroking each other at the thought of Louisville losing a banner? There's just no telling how UK fans will react when the 2013 championship stays with the Cards.
It doesn't take anywhere close to 45 days to figure out which games each player played in. It could literally be done in an hour with the stats software.
We have a bunch of unused velcro in Lexington. Louisville is more than welcome to use it, it's obvious they're in need.
