UK fans

Laughing two fan bases that expected more this year! I'm down on my guys today but I realize this team isnt very good. Mediocre with a 1st weekend exit doesnt seem outlandish .

Neither of us are consistent this year. I like our chances since we are at Rupp. Hope any Jayhawks coming in for the game have a good visit. Need any rec's on where to go and what to do just holler.

Told you UK lol what does suck is the preseason hype faded on this game. Hats off to UK. Wish KU had Dok and DeSousa.

Helluva game, helluva rowdy time at Rupp tonight. It was rocking in there tonight

This is priceless:
Not one knee taken.

Why didn't ESPN show this?

Oh, okay. You get 24,000 plus singing a song in unison and that is not worth showing?

When was the last time you saw that?

Plus it show just how damned big Rupp is.
That happens every night at concerts around the world.

I mean it's cool and is perfect for sharing on twitter but it's not exactly worthy of highlighting on ESPN. 95% of their coverage right now is probably NFL and NBA.

I understand. I guess that is why Kansas and Duke don't do it.

They can just go to a concert, even the ones on national TV, and sing the National Anthem.

Thinking back, I never went to a concert where the crowd sang the National Anthem. Of course it has been a while since I was at a concert.

Well the national anthem is played before every game at both Duke and Kansas. I'm sure most in attendance are signing along to it there as well. It's cool that Rupp decided to have the audience be "the performer" in Saturday's game but I don't think it's worthy of highlighting on Sportscenter or anything. But then again I haven't watched Sportscenter in 5+ years.

And no, I don't think most concerts play national anthems anymore but Jimi Hendrix shred that tune on his guitar in 69. Remember that?

Kansas and Duke can't seat over 24,000.

Edit: next year UK will not seat that many folks. The Rupp redo cuts the seating back.

I have the Jimi Hendrix's tune on vinyl, CD and dvd.

Kansas and Duke also have a home court advantage and old people don't yell at other fans asking them to sit down and be quiet. Congratulations on having a big arena, I saw Garth Brooks there about 3 years ago.

To be fair, our win % at Rupp is 89.5%. That qualifies as a "home court advantage". Calipari only has 8 losses at Rupp in his 9.5 seasons.

****ing Gillispie lost 10 games in two years or it would be much better.

yeah but you play in the SEC which is AIDS 95% of the time.
... and you play in a league with Clemson, Miami, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Notre Dame etc.

The ACC has Duke, UNC and NC State that have won titles. Who else? (No Maryland is B!G.)

The SEC has Florida, Arkansas and Kentucky who have won titles. No one else.

Plus now the ACC has 16 teams so the talent is spread so thin that the schedules are so imbalanced you may never have to play the same decent team twice in one year except for a couple that are the money makers.

Kentucky came to prominence playing in the old Southern League with all the old ACC schools. So even today UK would do just fine in the ACC. Plus UK would lead the league in attendanceRollLaugh; however, that will never happen because UK can't walk away from the SEC football money.

Clemson, Miami, and Notre Dame haven't exactly been garbage. Notre Dame won the ACC tournament in 2015 and gave UK a hell of a game in the NCAA tourney.

I'm not a big country guy but his show is entertaining, I really liked it. I was also drunk for 48 hours straight so that might have helped.
If I was hammered, I'm sure I'd have a good time too. I'm not big country guy either, but good music and good times are fun.
