Trivia question time, part college - part NBA question. Name the 3 schools that has a hall of fame coach, been to at least 5 final 4's, play for 2 national championship. And in the NBA produced 3 hall of fame players, a scoring champ, defensive player of the year, NBA MVP and Finals MVP.

I don't really understand the question but I think Larry Brown and Kansas are in there somewhere.

We'll have all of those NBA things shortly, although I'm not sure where the scoring champ would come from - Boogie maybe. Really, really long odds on Booker?

I think we should have to fill in the individuals instead of just guessing.

    --UNC--
-HOF Coach: Dean, Roy, and I think McGuire might be in there too
    -5+ FF: I can think of at least 09, 08, 05, 93, and 82
    -2+ Title Games: 09 and 05
-3+ HOF Players: Jordan, Worthy, Phil Ford
    -Scoring Champ: Jordan
    -DPOY: Jordan
    -NBA MVP: Jordan
    -Finals MVP: Jordan

    --UCLA--
    -HOF Coach: Wooden
    -5+ FF: lol
-2+ Title Games: 07 and 95, plus a dozen others
-3+ HOF Players: Kareem, Walton, Reggie
    -Scoring Champ: Kareem
    -DPOY: Kareem
    -NBA MVP: Kareem
    -Finals MVP: Kareem

    --Kansas--
    -HOF Coach: Phog, Brown
    -5+ FF: 12, 08, 03, 88, the 1950s title (forget the year)
    -2+ Title Games: 12, 08, 03.......lots lol
-3+ HOF Players: Wilt is actually the only one I can think of unless we count the coaches who "played" there
    -Scoring Champ: Wilt
    -DPOY: Wilt
-NBA MVP: On second thought, maybe Kansas isn't the third

This is a fun question. I'll have to keep thinking.

definitely UNC and UCLA. Would've guessed Kansas as the 3rd but looks like that's wrong.

UNC and UCLA are correct, even though Kareem never won DPOY it was Mark Eaton. The 3rd is not KANSAS or any blue blood for that matter.

Well hell, I thought "has" a HOF coach meant "currently" has. I would think the phrase "has had" would suit the question better. Anyways, fun quiz, thanks.

I think Georgetown has all those things except finals MVP.

    HOF coach: JT2
    5 FF's: 43, 82, 84, 85, 07
    2 title games: 82, 84, 85
3 NBA HOF: Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo (being inducted this year), (Iverson becomes eligible next year)
    NBA scoring Champ: Allen Iverson
    DPOY: Mutombo, Mourning, Iverson
    NBA MVP: Iverson

No Finals MVP and Mutombo hasn't been elected yet, but will be in September.

Nah, it was a fun Google exercise. I enjoy that kind of non-traditional trivia, where the obvious answers aren't always correct. You know, bar bet types of trivia.

Kansas would probably be the 4th (depending on your definition of "HOF players"), if the DPOY went back further than 1982-83. They have plenty of players in the hall, but most probably not due to their pro career which might limit them as well. The one thing Kansas didn't have for sure was the DPOY. Not around during Chamberlain's days, and he may not have won anyway, as blocks were not an official stat then either.

I used to win bar bets with my UK fan friends, asking who is the all-time leading scorer in basketball at UK?
