SEC takes the top 3 spots in the transfer recruiting classes. Missouri has the #1 and #2 JUCO players coming in, FWIW.

I forgot to include Adam Miller's stats into LSU's lineup. I felt justified throwing him into my top 150 because he didn't log any minutes last year. Without Miller, Missouri would have the #1 transfer class.

Missouri's lineup for next year looks impressive. They could very easily be a tournament team. I've included 6 starters because I don't know who to kick out. Point guard battle should be between East/Honor. Isiahih Mosley and Kobe Brown are obviously starting. Most likley Hodge, too. Brown could probably start at the 4 or 5. So, last starting job would be between Noah Carter and Mohammed Diarra. The experience of Noah Carter should give him an edge, but I really like Diarra's upside. Diarra has really good footwork. Very agile for a big men - you'll see him semi-regularly pull out the euro step in the open court.

Either way, I really like how Dennis Gates has put this team together. If I were doing my top 50 rankings today, I think I would sneak Mizzou in there somewhere.

They're in serious need of some guards. Unfortunately for them, I think they came in 2nd or 3rd for a lot of top transfer targets. Losing out on Emoni Bates must have been a crushing blow. But, they I think they also lost out on Malachi Smith, Courtney Ramey, Xavier Pinson, and Isiaih Mosley.

Portal is pretty thin at this moment. Still a few decent guys left. Boise State's Devonaire Doutrive would be at the top of the list for me. Former top 100 recruit who previously played at Arizona. Probably should have at least had him on my HM list, actually. There's also a couple guards from UMass, CJ Kelly and Jahvon Garcia. And Central Michigan's Oscar Lopez would be a decent addition, too. Doutrive is the only that you'd really consider starting for a hopeful top 50 program. I'm sure there's a few high school kids that are open to reclassifying. And maybe still a few international kids left.

But yes, after that, there's a strong possibility they'll have to grab a few JUCO guys. As far as I know, all they've got for guards/wings is El Ellis - and two incoming freshmen, both 6'8, who are probably more suited for playing the 3, Kamari Lands and Devin Ree. 7 weeks away from the start of fall semester and UL is at least 2 guards short of what they need.

I like Aimaq to make a big impact at Tech and I’m way less sold on mizzou’s transfer class than you. Other than that I’m not informed enough to disagree.

I like Aimaq. I don't think 27th is a bad spot for him. Aimaq rebounds at an incredible rate. His 2021 rebounding percentage was actually higher than Tshiebwe's was this season. He also has really good footwork. I'm concerned with his turnovers, court vision, and relatively low shooting percentages.

What always makes me pause when players transfers up, is the numbers almost never translate accordingly. I reviewed my top 20 players that transferred up this past season, and I found that the Player Efficiency Rating decreased by an average of 7.7. Meaning Aimaq's 25.0 PER could easily dip to around around 17 in a power league. An efficiency rating of 15.0 is considered the average rating among all players. Obviously efficiency ratings don't tell the full story, but the law of averages tell me that it's the exception, not the norm, when players transfer up and replicate the same numbers. Jake Laravia was one of the rare outliers this past season.

Now, you could say that some of the Mizzou players should be ranked lower for the same reason; most of them weren't playing in power conferences. Fair enough. Though, Mosley, is truly one of the elite shooters in America. He was the only player to hit the 50-40-90 shooting splits. Hodge is tenacious on defense. Carter is very skilled. Diarra has a great set of skills for a big; great athlete, too. There's just a lot to like about these Missouri transfers, but I can appreciate the skepticism of they weren't playing against the best competition.

I hear you and great breakdown nonetheless. I don’t think they will be near as bad as last year, but I’m not sold on what they got. A lot came from weaker conferences, not to mention 3 from a slightly above average Cleveland state team. We’ll certainly see and it would be a great prediction if you’re right.

I had 5 Missouri guys in my top 150, but Hodge was the only one from Cleveland State in there. Majak is a project and will barely see the court; I believe Gomillion will come off the bench. So, I wouldn't say Mizzou is heavily dependent on the Cleveland State transfers.

We are pretty set in the FC and went after the top guards, but they all chose elsewhere, hunter and pck for more nil$, smith wanted to play for a contended after his years at chat so he chose zags. So its not like KP wasnt after transfer guards, he just missed his targets. We did add master Ps son, hercy, as a walk on PG. hopefully to help land his top40 brother, mercy, in 2023? Or maybe 2024. But by all account hes no stud, but more capable than your normal walkon.

My question is still though why didnt we go after some lower level GTs just to have some depth if nothing else. We have a decently talented FC but our BC is a huge ???. Esp the lack of numbers, knock on wood but we are one bc injury away from being in big time trouble in the bc (if we arent already)

We are adding a pg from oak hill, Fabio (his last name esxapes me bc well his forst name is fabio) He wasnt rated very high in the 2023 class, but apparently hit a 4-5 inch growth spurt this offseason and was one of the top players at one of the aau tounreys they had over the summer. Ilr what to expect right away but im certainly intrigued by his potential, i mean a kid who was a 6”0-6”1 pg his entire career growing into a 6”4-6”5 pg in one offseason is pretty intriguing. He will be playing young though so im just hoping he had contribute 10-15 mpg backing up El.

idk after last year i just wanna see our guys play hard and act like they actually give a damn. Best part of the roster is, no seniors, so IF and i know its a big if, kp can keep the roster together next year and add good recruiting class, hopefully we will be good enough to possibly make some noise.

This year id look at making the tourney as a miracle tbh.

Idk of we were ever involved in pinson or mosley. We did miss out on the others, i forgot to mention ramey in my post.

We are in serious need of guards, but the bates dumpster fire wasnt crushing. We stopped recruiting him back in May when he decided to push his timeline back. Bates committed to the only offer he had, bc at the tome of his decision, he didnt have one from louisville, michigan, memphis, sparty. I guess i cant really speak for illini or kstate bc i dont know.

i do know the bates to louisville ship sailed in may. KP wasnt gonna get involved in his NIL games or his dads bs. Just like juwan wasnt.

Now dont get me wrong, back in may i was salivating over the prospect of landing bates and whether kp could unlock his potential. But the more i read about his clown father and the more i read about the UodL staff cooling on his recruitment, the more and more I came arlund on the decision.
