US Army - Served in Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
My carrier just came back from a 6 month deployment to the Arabian Sea/Indian Ocean once Desert Shield started so I missed the all the fun. Felt kinda weird being stationed in San Diego which houses 4 aircraft carriers and my ship was the only one in port.
I am breaking my no posting here, but my hat is off to all vets.
My son is a 20 year Army vet. During his deployments I sweated bullets hoping for good news instead of bad. The worst news that I got was he had a torn ACL and with that he was sent back for surgery and then based stateside. So the bad news got him out of a direct threat.
