This is the loss Duke needed

Rest of the season and the offseason.

Before you say yes, you're going to hate the avatar. You won't post again for another year.

On neutral sites like where the NCAAT will be held, no chance Duke loses. Flagg had the worst game of his career, now it’s on RIP to every other college team
Clemson is a tough place to play. We, Duke and UK, played on a neutral court.

I’ll take it, Duke is winning the chip this year.
Are you sure you want to bet? You don't post anyway, what does it matter. I matters to me b/c I'm going to hang one on you. You got me good with that Grayson Allen avater.

I see we've made it to the yearly nish Duke is winning the whole thing post. Wonder when the meltdown will occur?

Duke is 19-0 when Isaiah Evans and Mason Gillis both play - and 1-3 when 1 of those guys is missing. We cool.

brb, someone crashed into my nieghbors house. No joke, it'll be on KAIT tomorrow.

Once when it snowed some drunk dude (this ended up being his fifth DUI) ran off the ran and stopped about two feet from my house. Then I made him get in his car and wait for the police, which was a mistake, because he tried to get out and tore the crap out of my yard and slung mud all over the house. I should have taken his keys and left him in the cold.

NGL, I have never heard of either of those guys. I assume they are real players for you guys??

Its not a horrible bet given the competition resembles high school ball.

That’s describing most years in the SEC, don’t use a tough conference as an excuse. Duke has an easier schedule, but they also have as many wins against Auburn as your whole conference does.

You should have seen his hot take on the chiefs winning the superbowl in our fantasy football group chat. Dude’s a clown with most of his sports takes. Insanely good at DFS though.

Was just a fun stat to pull. Obviously they're not one of the key cogs. But yes, they're real players. Evans is about 7 ppg, while Gillis averaging around 5 ppg.

Just like Kentucky has as many wins against Duke as the entire ACC. ;)
True, but our conference didn’t get to play the freshmen led Duke in early November 😉

Huge difference between then and now, hard to believe that was 3 months ago already.

I was going to hit you with a laughing emoji, but I already did.

Here's another one. 😂
So close to being right, we blew it with a generational team in an epic choke job. This team would have gone down in the history books and Flagg would've been hailed as the greatest freshman ever but now its just an asterisk like Duke 1999, Illinois 2005, UNLV 1991, UK 2015, etc.

Luckily I don't see any of the other blue bloods sniffing a title anytime soon. We're due for some luck in the tourney after 2022 and 2025 if we keep putting out great teams.

Still wouldn't have had the trophies Anothay Davis has.

They would have gone down in the record books as champions, but nothing really other then that.

I never saw this Duke team as the juggernaut that many others did. Sure, they were most definitely on the shortlist of title favorites, but the loss doesn't surprise me. Now the way it happened was pretty crazy, but the loss in general wasn't surprising.

In my opinion, they were never head and shoulders above the competition.

Duke has all the advantages they could possible ask for. Top players want to play there, Nike wants to steer them there, insane NIL budget, etc. They should be winning titles hand over fist. But they've had a huge talent/roster building advantage for a while now and it hasn't led to world domination.

Looking forward, I hope Scheyer is there for a long time. I think he is a poor in game coach, and strictly relies upon talent to go one and one and make a play. Reminds of Cal's MO and what Coach K started doing in the last 5 years of his career.

Now, can that approach lead to a championship? It could, but it is very unlikely nowadays.

He reminds me of Hubert Davis, except for the fact that he gets exponentially more talent on his rosters.

Just my opinion.
