Things taught to me as a child....

My uncle taught me that "telling our secret could get someone hurt".

In football, my dad was a pretty good coach. He won a lot. He also coached me. The advice that sticks out is “God dammit straighten you’re ****ing stance.”

Always look someone in the eye and grip tight when shaking hands and introduce yourself.

“Bill Curry is too ****ing conservative” was one of my first memories at a UK football game.

If no rooting interest in a sports game, always root for the underdog.

When I became a boss, I asked him for advice. His only advice was to “treat employees like people and you’ll be fine.”

Sports: toughness, heart, teamwork.
Life: discipline, accountability, be willing to do the things other people won’t do to succeed. Outwork everyone even if it doesn’t get rewarded.
