Leave y'all with a few things.

Here is George Floyd aka Big Floyd laying down some verses with DJ Screw and the Screwed up Click

    His solo verses

Great article about his role with DJ Screw and Screwed up Click

Everyone is an expert on the problems in the black community but unless you live there and have experience your opinion doesn't mean much

Some good truth to this. But it is also important to recognize that not all black communities are the same and not all black experiences are the same. Maybe one day we can just call it OUR community. I grew up around mostly black people, I work with mostly black people and my work inserts me deeply within the black community. But that doesn't make me an expert by any means.

You don’t hear about it because it’s not a thing. You don’t think white people getting abused by the cops is a thing, I don’t think it’s a thing... it’s not a thing.

And I have no idea what that last line means. Who has ever said that white people are not allowed to have bad encounters with cops?

Beach > backyard pool > lake

But dammit are they all great! Water is up to 79 today. Be spending a lot of time in the ocean. Will remember to put sunscreen on my head this weekend. Cut it down with the #2.

hail sees the number 23 everywhere he goes.
Beach was #1 when I was in shape. Now that I’m fat, backyard pool blows the others out of the water.

Putting pool in to open 2021. Words of wisdom from friends so far: Saltwater, heater, electric cover, and tanning deck, I have been told are the musts.

    Any thoughts?

Yes. Go to a saltwater pool and swim in it first. We went with chlorine afterwards.

Eh. I don't necessarily have a beach body. But it's about to be a body on the beach.
My only opinion is definitely salt water and if you live in Illinois, a heated pool would benefit you greatly, no?

I actually have the perfect space for a pool. I just don't think it would be worth the maintenance when we have friends with pools and we live 15 minutes from the beach and two places to park.

On another note. Just planted this stuff a couple of months ago in my very brief work from home days. Now that the grass is fully green, starting to look good.

It left me feeling a little sticky when we got out, kids didn't like the feeling of the salt in their eyes. We already had a chlorine pool but were considering switching to salt. Got invited to a friend's to swim in salt. Probably just what we're used to is all.

Yep. Good “social distancing”. We have to, state leaders don’t. The video of Cooper marching with protesters pulling his mask down should be national news, while the rest of us are still on partial lockdown. Cooper has already violated the State constitution shutting businesses down. The Senate is looking at opening gyms in the state. I’m about to pop. Back to my pushups.

Got the pool all ready to go, and now the heater crapped out, like it does every damn year. And my pool guy has vanished off the face of the earth. I hate my pool so much.

Wait, you don’t like salt? I gotta say, you are the only person I’ve ever heard say that... switched to salt and haven’t looked back. It feels so much nicer when you get out...

The beach beats the lake and the pool if you spend time paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, etc. If you just plan to sit there on the beach or under an umbrella it ranks dead last (still fun though).

If you don’t have access to a jet ski or boat then a lake is pretty much worthless though. Atleast the ones here are where you can’t see further than 1 foot while underwater.

Gotta go with saltwater here. Most workout pools around seem to have made the switch. I would have loved to have had saltwater pools to train in while growing up and while at Kansas. Instead we all got itchy dry skin, 2:00 AM surprise coughing attacks and funny looking hair. Now that I think about it the chlorine pools probably did way more damage to us than we even know about. There were some serious side effects to being in the pool hours a day for training purposes.

As I've gotten older I've found myself being a little leery of going into the ocean, at least murky water.

    Thanks a lot media.

Me and a couple of guys were in Largo, FL and swam out about 200 yards from the shore just messing around. We were treading water and a fin surfaced probably within 5 feet of my friend and it was pretty damn big. Whatever it was it likely had enough size to do serious damage on us if it wanted to. Never have swam so fast back to the shore. **** all that.

I read something the other day that said if you've been to the beach, more sharks have seen you than you've seen them.

Dude I did the Ironman in Panama City a few years ago. You basically swim half a mile out and turnaround and come back. Do it twice. It seemed like I swam to the horizon. It was nuts.

Nice. The first month and a half of training at KU was outdoor lake swimming. The buoys went out half a mile and we’d just do this long ass, back and forth open water training bullshit everyday and I hated every minute of it. Lol. I am not a distance swimmer and I hated doing freestyle. It was everything I hated even though it was really good base training to begin the season. I couldn’t imagine doing that in the open ocean but many coastal teams do.

We were in a friends pool last weekend that was saltwater. Seemed fine. The low maintenance is what I love. Guy said someone comes and opens and closes his pool each year, and that’s about it.

**** beaches. I'm lake all the way.

And pool, obviously, but if I can pick a vacation spot, I'm lake 100 percent. Just the feeling of sitting on the porch of a nice lake house, everything all quiet, looking out over mountains or forests or whatever, a drink in your hand... the beach, its often too crowded, too sandy, and there just isn't anything to look at.

I mean, other than girls in bikinis.

*begins to rethink position on beaches vs lakes*
