It's really interesting to me that I don't recall you saying "left wing propaganda" ever, really. Why is that?

Wait wait... I’m not saying I support anyone here, although if I HAVE to choose between nazis and anti nazis, I pick the anti nazis. Obviously attacking innocent people is batshit crazy, and you should be arrested for it. Any Antifa idiot who does that? In jail, throw away the key. But again... I see Antifa being SUCH a center of right wing media and right wing people, who seem to devote so much time and space and energy to Antifa, but much less to the proud boys and nazis and the rest... it is the imbalance that I wonder about.

And we can talk about left wing propaganda, if you’d like? But I don’t think the left uses it in the same way as the right, and its not as concentrated in every day left wing culture, which is FAR less homogeneous.

Before I get to the rest of your post, who are these nazi groups you keep bringing up? I mean, are they actually a thing? Or is this just like when liberals call Trump supporters nazi's?

And why would you be forced to choose between two bad groups? I simply wouldn't choose. They're both groups of pieces of shit that don't deserve nearly the time they're getting.

I would argue that identity politics and the politically correct/cancel culture, which are the main plays for the Democrats, is essentially left wing propaganda. It's rampant in the MSM and liberals around the country. Hell, Stacy Abrams came out and said to fully embrace it. Lol.

I think the right focuses on Antifa because they are constantly violent when anyone disagrees with them politically. They constantly show up when conservative speakers are at large colleges or at Trump rally's. They're a violent group focused (mainly) on conservatives. I think it makes sense that conservatives talk about them.

Today is acceptable. It's a holiday for lots of people so I get the protesting today. However, I'm with you on other random non-holiday type days.

I, unfortunately, don't get today as a holiday and am working (well, sitting in the airport getting ready to head to SFO).

Long post. I've got the flu/cold so just sitting here miserable. I just want to clarify some things being discussed.

First, I think there are some variances when people use the phrase "taking away guns". That is a phrase that needs some clarity. Do you mean somebody physically coming in and physically taking firearms away from a Citizen who has done NOTHING wrong? Or do you also consider this as banning firearms that are currently legal, thus taking away a persons right/ability to buy said firearm?

Most left people do not consider banning of firearms as "taking away", but most conservatives do consider this as "taking away" since they will no longer be able to purchase them. Similar to straws, banning them is "taking them away".

Lets get to the first "taking away guns". If you deny there are Democratic politicians who want to "confiscate" firearms from law abiding citizens you are either in denial or they, the politicians, are liars. Please let me know which one is the case. Evidence: 10-13-2019 Survey of 2020 Dem Presidential Candidates

Candidates who support MANDATORY BUYBACK: Corey Booker, Kamala Harris, Wayne Messam, Beto O'Rourke, Marianne Williamson.

Candidates who support VOLUNTARY buyback: Biden, Buttigieg, Castro, Klobuchar, Sanders, Steyer, Warren, Yang, and more.

I have NO issue with voluntary buyback. If someone will turn their gun in for money, good for them. The mandatory buyback, is what many conservatives view as a "confiscation", because you are forcing them to turn their guns in or become a criminal. Does that mean somebody will come door to door to to collect guns? No, but this is also why they are against a gun registry. Then they will know who doesn't turn them in and can issue warrants, flag them, whatever. As shown above, there are multiple Democrats who are in favor of them.

This would ban the sale or transfer of, BUT would allow you to keep what you already have, firearms they label as assault weapons, over 10 round mags, etc....

My personal view.... I don't like them banning the sale of them. No surprise. What seems ridiculous to me is there are thousands and thousands of these "assault weapons" and "high cap mags" already out there. I don't see this ban as being effective. I do like how they give the Ruger Mini 14 and Mini 30 an exception, so it would still be able to buy/sell. Maybe I should stock up on a few?

    S.66 - Assault Weapons Ban of 2019

PS- @TheDude1 White nationalists, racists, nazis, etc... are all trash. The problem is they have the right to be trash pieces of crap as long as they are being "peaceful". Even if they are spouting nonsense and I would like to punch them in the face, if I did so, I would be in the wrong. Thats why people call out Antifa more than them. If Antifa just show up and protest, no issues. When they label anyone they don't agree with as nazis and attack them, of course we will call them out. Anyone who goes to these protests to cause violence should be arrested no matter what side they are on. Here in Ky a Trump supporter was arrested at the Rally. He was riding down a near street, got out, and punched a Trump Protester. He was arrested, rightly so.

It’s a strawman argument to both exaggerate their positions and assign the positions of some to all or most of them.

49ers are back in the Super Bowl. Still think it's funny that Kaepernick went 3-19 in his last two seasons as the starting quarterback... Garoppolo comes in and starts all fives games in the month of December (2017) - went 5-0 as a starter. He won more games in one month than CK won in the previous two years. Maybe Kaep wasn't that good of a quarterback after all.

I think it is very odd that a number of people attack Warren as vehemently as they do. This is a intelligent and accomplished woman who has spent much of her life fighting to protect average Americans. She was also a Republican for decades, who only left the party because she felt that the GOP was becoming the party of big business instead of the party of the free market. That's just fact, regardless of how she filled out some school application. But this one relatively meaningless story somehow becomes the BIG THING that people focus on. I mean... nobody who harps on the indian thing gets their panties in a twist over Donald's repeated cases of bone spurs, do they? And that was a MUCH bigger thing.

She strikes me as the ultimate example of a politician that most people don't know much about, but they've already formed an opinion on her. She's like the epitome of the outcome of that phrase "The problem in our country is that the people who make $700 an hour have convinced the people who make $70 an hour that the biggest threat to them is the people who make $7 an hour."

Eh, I think it's a pretty interesting point. Let's be honest... billionaires have FAR more power in our country than us average people. They have the ability to shape politics and politicians to their advantage by using their cash to buy off politicians and get rid of laws they want or get laws they want passed. The idea that the average person should have roughly the same power in a government that is supposedly of, by, and for the people is actually pretty American, if you ask me.

It’s easy. She’s a liar. She’s lied to get ahead in life. She likely still would be lying if she wasn’t caught. She would probably be calling herself the potential first woman of color as president.

Then there is this little pesky thing called policies. The policies that she’s pimping are terrible. Like next level awful.

I hope she gets the democratic nomination. Trump would destroy her head to head.

See, that's just more of that Trumper hypocrisy.

Donald lied to avoid serving his country, lied about his crowd sizes, lied about not cheating on his wife, lied about being able to defeat ISIS in 30 minutes, lied about North Korea no longer being a nuclear threat... he lies constantly. There is literally a count of his public lies; he is at like 16,000 or so. According to Politifact, fully half of what he says is a lie.

Yet you are trying to tell me that a lie on a college application is supposedly some huge character flaw that shows how terrible she is? Come on now... show us on the doll where the smart liberal woman touched you;)

As for policies... lemme know the next time someone posts a thoughtful response to her proposed policies;)

No it’s not. You want people who have earned the right to the power they have to just give it up because other people don’t have it. It’s ANTI American. Every single American has the same opportunity to have that type of power. Some achieve it some don’t. It’s just like her comment on billionaire and their work. Those people who she claims (wrongly) are paid slave wages wouldn’t even have a job if the billionaire didn’t have the idea and take ALL the risk for the company. Not to mention, nobody is holding a gun to the workers’ head. They willingly agreed to those wages. If they don’t like it, they can go do something different.

She’s a full blown socialist and clips like this just further proves she’s dumber than she looks.

All Americans are not born with the same opportunities. Not all Americans can just leave a low paying job and get a better paying job. To think they can is woefully ignorant.

Trump hypocrisy? Your whataboutism is irrelevant in this. You asked about Warren. I answered. She lied about her heritage and called herself a person of color to get ahead in life. She’s a scum bag.

As for her policies, MFA is a non starter. It won’t work. It’s a dumb idea. Her wealth tax. Her stance on guns. Her stance on abortion. All are dumb. Hell, Wall Street even came out and said if she was the nominee, they would vote for Trump. Think about that. She would destroy the economy if she got her way, which is unlikely even if she became the president.

Yes they are. Every American has the opportunity to be a millionaire/billionaire. Some have a harder path than others, but EVERYONE has that opportunity.

And who’s problem is it that not everyone can leave a low paying job for a higher paying job? The billionaire who actually CREATED jobs? Nope. It’s the individuals problem. Nothing more.

What laws or other rules are out there that won’t let someone be a millionaire/billionaire? Lol. Can’t wait for this one...

    I have to EXPLAIN that?

    Fine.

Lying on a single piece of a college application, an application that has dozens of pieces and encompasses years of work, and where people regularly have others help them with essays and the like, and where the outcome is that you sit for four years of school in ONE place or a DIFFERENT place, doesn't seem as big as...

...inventing a physical ailment to avoid fighting in WAR, where other young people will then have to go and maybe die because of it.

Yep. People in Chicago bitch all the time about this and yet the ones that move to Iowa, Indiana, or Wisconsin have a way better quality of life. Cheaper housing, better jobs, better education, cheaper cost of living, etc.
