How’d everyone’s 401ks do this year? I got over 20% return. Pretty sweet.

Did you call the bank? That would've been the first thing I did. They'll figure it out eventually whether or not you're the one who makes them aware of it.

Yeah, and went to HR and payroll, talked to the owner (and his brother), and GM/sale mgr. Everyone. Came close to calling the police. It'd be different it was a few bucks. they overpaid me 90 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

The part I can't get, is....they're not taking it off. I get paid once every two weeks. It was supposed to be 10k and some change.

Definitely wouldn't be on the dealership if payroll submitted the information correctly to the bank. I think it's pretty common for this to happen. Like Dude said, they'll eventually figure it out and just take it all back from you.

payroll mgr. said they don't have 100k in that account. It came from some other account. That's the hangup they (appear) to be having.

    Mentally and physically exhausted.

sigh, desperation doesn't explain it. I have PTO. I think I'm going to take it and lock myself in an isolation chamber. I can't even focus on the UK game.

good night friends. I'll see you on the other side. I'm going home and hopefully my mind stops racing long enough for some sleep. Telling my boss, I'm taking the next three days off. I'll leave the money in my checking and not put it in savings. Hopefully they'll take it back.

I’m just messing around. I think 2018 wasn’t that great for people. The market crashed hard the last 6 weeks or so. Erased most people’s gains, IIRC.

I took everything out when Trump got elected and put it all into bitcoin and beanie babies. My portfolio is looking, well, strong. To quite strong.

Just some news, don't know what has been discussed yet.

First, it appears the multi-year investigation of Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, Uranium One, and all of the rest, spearheaded by the Trump DoJ, is wrapping up, and hasn't found anything that would lead to anyone getting locked up. More should be coming soon?

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...83932e-32f9-11ea-a053-dc6d944ba776_story.html

Second, the Lev Parnas thing has certainly led to some interesting bits. Parnas, a close associate of Rudy Giuliani who travelled with Giuliani through Ukraine and worked with him, apparently has ties throughout the GOP... there are dozens of photos of him with Giuliani, with President Trump, with GOP House Leader Kevin McCarthy, and even with Trump family members, including posed shots with Jared and Ivanka and out at dinner with Don Jr. He was arrested at Dulles International while leaving the country and charged, in an investigation spearheaded by the FBI and the Southern District of NY, with various crimes, including funneling foreign money to domestic elections.

So Parnas went on record last night in an interview and implicated basically the entire Trump administration in the Biden-Ukraine thing.

He said that it was always about getting dirt on Biden, and never had anything to do with corruption.

He said that all of the heads of the administration knew about it.

He detailed meetings he had with various Ukrainian officials, all at the behest of Trump.

He explained his role in trying to force the President of Ukraine to publicly declare an investigation into Biden, and in fact threatened the Ukrainian government that Vice President Pence would not attend Zelensky's inauguration unless he announced the investigation (and the Vice President cancelled his trip to Ukraine the day after this conversation was had.)

He discussed having several meetings with Devin Nunes, the ranking GOP member of the House Intel committee, in the Ukraine, all with the objective of finding dirt on Biden. (Nunes, who was the ranking GOP member of the House Intelligence committee and relentlessly attacked the impeachment investigation, had already been linked to Parnes through phone records of late night calls. At the time he insisted he had no idea who Parnes was, saying that he talks to a lot of people all the time. Then he said that he remembered a call from Parnas' wife. Now Nunes has, as of yesterday, admitted that yes, NOW he remembers speaking to Parnes several times.)

And we also now have a ton of documents that have been released, including...

    * hand written notes by Parnas about getting the Ukrainian president to announce investigations into Biden

    * about tweets that Donald Jr should send (Donald tweeted shortly thereafter)

    * and even a series of texts between Parnas and Robert Hyde, a Republican currently running for Congress, who seemed to indicate that Hyde had people who were spying on US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, both in person and electronically (at one point saying that he had tracked the Ambassador via her computer to locations outside of the Embassy, and that if Parnas wanted her out to let him know, that he had contacts with security forces, and that anything can be done in Ukraine if you have money.) If you recall, Yovanovitch was rushed out of Ukraine in the middle of the night a few months later, as there was worries that she was facing some sort of security threat. Among Hyde's messages to Parnas were...

“She under heavy protection outside Kiev,” Hyde wrote to Parnas.

Two days later, he wrote to Parnas: “They are moving her tomorrow.”

Hyde followed up, “The guys over there asked me what I would like to do and what is in it for them.”

    Parnas responded to them.

BTW, Hyde (who has been seen smiling and posing in photos with Trump, as well as both Parnas and Giuliani, did have this to say last night, about the communications that were found during the investigation, blaming his text conversation with Parnas on being drunk and saying that discussions of spying on the Ambassador were all some sort of late night prank:

"How low can liddle Adam Bull Schiff go? I was never in Kiev. For them to take some texts my buddy's and I wrote back to some dweeb we were playing with that we met a few times while we had a few drinks is definitely laughable. Schiff is a desperate turd playing with this Lev guy."

As of this morning Ukraine has announced they will investigate the apparent spying and tracking of the American ambassador.

So yeah... it's pretty amazing, if you are paying attention. Parnas implicated nearly everyone in the Trump administration, and both his interview and the documents released line up with the various testimony given so far by all of the witnesses in the impeachment trial.

Anyway... I'm not sure anyone here will care, but it's pretty big news.

Gotta run. I'm not going to check in much here, if thats okay... I suspect people will not read this, or will say this is all meaningless, or lies, or whatever, and I would just get frustrated... so I'll save us all that frustration:)

Sorry to come back, but from Fox... the Government Accountability Office, a non-partisan, fact-based watchdog department within our government that exists to provide unbiased information to Congress, has released their finding that the President broke the law when he withheld Congressional-approved aid to Ukraine.

Oh, I have no idea... I don't have a background in law or anything:(

Edit: Actually, I think the president cannot be charged with crimes, right? The way that the Constitution expects our Legislative branch to deal with it is via impeachment.

That doesn't seem to matter. If it did, the GOA wouldn't have drawn the conclusion that it was illegal. Apparently the withholding of the funds was illegal and a breach of the ICA, according to the government agency whose job it is to issue legal opinions on it. That it was eventually released doesn't seem to change that.

Apparently no...? As far as I know, Congress appropriates funds, and that's it... the Executive doesn't really have a say in it. I know that the GAO has found other acts illegal before... there was an issue with Obamacare where the GAO found that the Obama administration did not follow their own law when it came to payments...

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/theapo...affordable-care-act-are-illegal/#287e2832b620

But I don't know what the outcome was?

I'm not getting fired and they're taking it out of my account by me paying a 90k bill/swipe of the card. Not sure the long term effects of me spending 90k. Will I have tax issues. I don't like this.
